I know this subject has been discussed in the past, but I just got a new phone that can handle real tunes, and now I am wondering where to get the Firefly/Serenity theme for it. Any ideas?

What make/model is your phone? Can your phone support MP3 ringtones? What part of the theme song do you want? I've got an MP3 of the theme song, and I'd be happy to make a ringtone for a fellow browncoat.

EDIT: I have the series on DVD and I could obtain the audio from the version of the theme song that plays during closing credits as well, if you're interested.

My phone is a Nokia 6102. It is new and I am still in the process of playing with it to see what all it can do. I should just asky my 8 year old, I am sure he could show me everything it does in about 5 minutes. LOL

EDIT: I just looked up the specs on my phone and it does support MP3 ringtone format. So how do I get the ringtone then?

I have browsed through my user's manual and have noticed that I can download through an infrared connection. I get both my pc and phone ready to talk via infrared and it tells me I have to line up the infrared on my phone with my computer. Only problem is I don't know where the infrared port or Com1 port on my pc is. It is a dell Optilex GX270, can anyone advise an apparently computer illiterate person where to find this port so I can line them up and see if it will work?

No problemo. I probably won't be as much help with actually getting the files ONTO your phone once you've installed the adapter, since I've never used one of them things before, but if all else fails consult the instructions.

I'm just bumping this thread. I got a new phone and was looking at the manual and it say it can support mp3s, so, gonna have a go.

I think, from the wording, I need to have the actual file, is there any way I could 'download' the file from you? (When I click on the links up there it goes to playback, tell me if i'm doing something wrong!)

Oh, i'm a happy bunny. My old phone died on me and I so annoyed, and then the new one comes and yey! I can get this music on it!

Well, I've done a bunch of MP3 ringtones (also have some WAV files for windows system Startup / Shutdown sounds) from the FF theme and the Fruity Oaty Bar jingle and the BDM theme (Serenity Landing scene & end credits)...

You can e-mail me for the MP3 files or you can go to the Yahoo Group:

and look in the FILES section. You'll have to sign up for the group to get into this area to download them. There's also the complete versions of the themes and Fruity Oaty song.

There's also the cell ph. wallpaper I made and am using which I stored in the PHOTOS section.

You can get a free MP3 uploader program called Tone This at http://www.tonethis.com
that uploads wallpapers as well.
