Not egg-zactly a SF/Horror series but one of the BEST series I have seen.

Have you viewed it?

If so - thoughts?

I watch it, although I haven't seen this week's episode. It is good, but I would hardly call it one of the BEST series I have seen.

I have been watching this show since it started a few weeks ago (saw the commercials during Weeds, one of my all time favorites). I really like it. The story is great, and I think the characters are very well done. I am personally a big fan of the blood too, and blood imagery (the opening credits rock face). If you have showtime and are free Sunday nights at 10 EST, I recommend checking it out (I don't know when the weekly replays are though).

One of the QUICKEST sixty minutes on TV right now. I really like it. Just when the show starts getting good.... it's over and they are running previews for next week.

It seems that they are getting better every week. Just when you think, "I know what's going to happen next", it doesn't and then out of the Blue you are hit with something else.

Who didn't think that Dex was gonna "do" the dog?

You just have to love the subtle twists and how the story line teases us into thinking the worst of Dex every week.

I'm hooked.

In reference to your spoiler, I was surprised that it was Rita who took care of that issue. I thought we would see Dex do something (though he had said in his head that it was wrong because Harry wouldn't do it).

Can you PM me (or reply here) and let me know how to do the spoiler thing like you did?

Did any of you notice that he didn't kill anyone this week ???

Any theories on who is the ice killer?

My guess, although I have nothing to back it up, was the guy who they brought in who was making cracks about the security camera at the precinct. My longshot is Dexter's sister.

That eye at the end of this week's episode was very mysterious!

Well, Rita might just snap one of these days. You get the feeling that the gal could go either way sometimes being all shy and timid most of her life. I also get the feeling that Dex will do something that Harry wouldn't approve of sooner or later. Impulse control doesn't always work and we haven't seen Dex stark raving mad yet.

The "spoiler" thing is listed in the options panel when you post. It's just like making stuff bold or italics. First time I used it also, so if I can do it a monkey can do it.

As for Dex's Sis..... That's what I was thinking also. Do we know if she was adopted too? I don't remember hearing anything 'bout that. Well now, what a great reason to go back and watch 'em all On Demand again.

Ok, I have changed my opinion on Dexter. Although it still may not be the BEST show I have seen, I would say it is better than good. As Tony the Tiger would say..."It's GREAT!!!!" I haven't seen this Sunday's episode, but last week's episode was terrific. The tension in the show was palpable. Tremendous show.

I watched Sunday's ep twice now but I won't spoil it for you. This show only gets better.

Good news is that they have picked it up for another season. I'm not sure how many more eps we have for this season so I keep thinking that the next one could be the last and for all us folks on this board, we know how that can feel. (Thanks to F*X )

The rumor mill has it that the 2nd season will probably follow the 2nd book that this was based on so it looks like I might have to do some reading over the holidays.

I didn't know it was based on a book, I might have to check it out, though I don't want the secret of the IceTruckKiller's identity to be spoiled for me.

In reference to the most recent episode:

Was anyone else not surprised when the guy who confessed turned out to not know Dexter? I agree that it is a great show, it just seems a tad contrived at times.

I won't give any links here (you never know if a review or writeup will give something away), but the first Dexter book, which I guess is the events in this season is called Darkly Dreaming Dexter, by Jeff Lindsay. I am not going to read it until after the season is over, as I don't want to ruin who the Ice Killer is either.

Yes, I'm also going to wait until the season is over to read the first book but I'll probably buy both at the same time and let the second book torture me by sitting there and just begging me to read it while we wait for season two.

I'm a glutton for punishment.
