America loves a winner!

I just saw a report that states Jackson won't be directing the New Line Cinema stuido's 'The Hobbit '. Seems part of the issue is $$ Jackson says he's still owed for TLOTR trilogy. I'm guessing that, and the fact that the studio wants to move ahead w/ the movie and not wait for all this to settle have something to do w/ the change.

Good they're going a head w/ the movie, but w/ out Peter Jackson ? Damn.
