I just read on Ain't it Cool News that the WB is going to make a new Lost in Space show. Ok...why do they want to rehash this tired show instead of picking up the shiny Firefly? This has me a bit frustrated, can anyone confirm or deny this?

BTW, anyone seen new Battlestar Galactica yet (is it even out)? Thoughts?

Man, I used to LOVE that show. You can't remake a classic! Yeah, they made a movie, but to make ANOTHER TV show? No, can't be done! And Jonathan Harris isn't around anymore, so it could never be the same.

I'm gonna wait and see on this one. I would prefer Firefly, but will wait and see what they do with the concept.

Different creative teams will do different things with the same basic outline. Have a series set on a space station, you can have Babylon 5 or Deep Space 9. Space Family Robinson, can be either the series or the very different movie. (Or Voyager!)

I doubt the high camp factor of the later seasons of Lost in Space can be topped. But willing to see if they even try.
