Does anybody know why there has been no Collector's Edition of the Series? Or has there been?
What would you wish to be included in one if produced? Like the BDM CE, all the production costs of the show are already forfeit, and only the minor costs of making the DVD would be recouped in sales.
The sales of the BDS have been far beyond expectations, right?

I posted this in Episode discussions because I was wondering what from various episodes would be of interest to the fans.

I have been disappointed that the intro for the broadcast first couple episodes has not been included in the "Complete Series" DVDs - the part where it states "2517" and gives the narrative about Earth-that-was and out rowing it, moving to a new verse, etc.

What else would you wish for in a CE version of BDS? Maybe somebody with an empty DVD making machine would read this, there being a writer's strike and all...

I guess having every episode granted a commentary track would be cool, for starters. All or most of the BDH have been clearly enthusiastic about contributions, even 5 years after original production.

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

I would like to hear multiple commentaries on all of the episodes, but most especially we need one from Adam on "Jaynestown," from Sean and Summer on "Safe," and from all three of those on "Ariel," plus commentary from Alan and Gina on "War Stories."

An expanded gag reel and more behind the scenes documentaries would also be shiny.

GORAMMAN

Yeah more commentaries would be needed.

Bushwhacked: Ron and Joss
Safe: Sean and Summer
Our Mrs. Reynolds: Nathan and Christina Hendricks
Jaynestown: Adam and Jewel
Out of Gas: Redone with Nathan and Joss
Ariel: Adam and Sean
Trash: Christina and Morena
Message: Redone with Nathan and Gina
Heart of Gold: Morena and Nathan

Any not listed I think are fine. Nathan would be doing a lot of them but he's good at it.

I would actually like to see the original Serenity pilot. I know it was only slightly different from what aired and whats on the DVD, but I'm curious to see how different.

All of that... and a free mini Jayne hat. Either way I think it would be a great idea. Come on you F*x b*s*ar*s cough it up! Ok just kidding. Really though they should do one. I'm sure it would sell very well. I for one would buy at least two upon release and a couple more later down the road.

I think Jewel and Summer should do the commentary for Objects in Space.

I agree with GoramMan. Definitely commentary by the main characters in each episode. Also a schematic of Serenity. I think that would be cool. I have noticed that all of the actors are more than willing to contribute to this phenomenon called Firefly.

I think that they have more fans now than ever before. I'm an original browncoat, since the series opened in 2002, and I find it amazing that 5 years after this has grown by leaps and bounds. Universal and Fox must realize this by now. It's my understanding that the DVD sales are still strong to this day. Hence the talk of re-doing them in HD format. That speaks volumes as to the popularity of our beloved Firefly.

There's no stopping the Signal.
