io9 posted this, and covered most of my favorites...

Triviagasm: Best Space Battle Smack Talk

Quote:

Serenity. This one's a bit different. Chiwetel Ejiofor's Operative is mournful and regretful after he slaughters dozens (maybe hundreds) of innocents to get to Mal. But he still needles Mal via the viewscreen, suggesting that all the carnage is Mal's fault. And he's successful in goading Mal to take rash action -- just not maybe the action he was hoping for.

...including my favorite moment from Babylon 5!

Babylon 5, "Between The Darkness And The Light. We're totally embarrassed that we missed this crucial showdown between Earthforce and Susan Ivanova, and super grateful that commenters Michael and BcBeBop pointed it out to us. I am going to start calling myself "the right hand of vengeance" and "the boot up your ass" in the same breath now:

For all those who've been hesitant about starting on the Bab5 journey (I'm lookin' at you, ChrisIsAll!), that one's for you!
Dunno how well it'll translate out-of-context, though.

That was a most righteous moment. Now more Babylon 5:

"Only one human captain has ever survived battle with a Minbari fleet. He is behind me. You are in front of me. If you value your lives, be somewhere else." -- Delenn.

"This is the twenty first century, can't you get it through your head? This ain't the way it was meant to be, magic isn't dead." -- Marillion.

FREMDFIRMA

They missed a couple.

Wing Commander - Thrakhath baiting Blair in WC III.

Wing Commander: Privateer - The crooked cop begging for his life as Grayson smack talks at him in the intro.

Those aren't movies per-se, but it's some pretty good smackin...

Battle Beyond the Stars - Cayman of the Lambda zone talkin some serious smackdown on Sador of the Malmouri, not to mention Sador does a GREAT job of pompous smack-talk himself.

Space Above and Beyond - Col McQueen talkin some *serious* smack before he goes out alone to whup up on Chiggy Von Richtoven.

Best comm smackdown ever though has to go to Kirk the Jerk, baiting Khan into the Motari Nebula.

Yeah, baby!

Quote:

Chaplain: Colonel. Colonel! Colonel McQueen! Perhaps you should make peace with your maker.
Col. McQueen: My maker was some geek in a lab coat with an eyedropper and a petri dish. What do I need to make peace with him for?
Chaplain: At these times we should all make peace with our maker.
Col. McQueen: With all due respect, Chaplain, I don't think our maker wants to hear from me right now. Because he knows I'm going to go out in that sky, in this plane, and I'm going to remove one of His creations from His universe. And when I get back, I'm going to drink a bottle of scotch as if it was Chiggy Von Richtofen's blood and celebrate his death.
Chaplain: Amen.

Then there's always "The Hitch Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy":

Arthur Dent (via wormhole): "I seem to be having this tremendous difficulty with my lifestyle..."

Unfortunately, you have to be fluent in Vl'hurg to understand what a killing insult this is :-)

Share and enjoy.

Hey! I met Nick Chinlund, who played the bounty hunter (also played Daxus in Ultraviolet) at the market a couple weeks ago!
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0157915/
He asked me if I'd liked Chronicles of Riddick, and I said I loved it, but that it was so depressing to me that everywhere I looked on the Net, people would trash it.
He laughed and said, "Well, it has its fans. You're not alone."

Was reciting lines to CoR just the other night. I guess I'm a real fan.

What about Independence Day. Will Smith was really funny when he was doing his smack talk.
