ok - two questions:

1) How come a mediocre movie (wth a couple of decent performances but no real saving graces - or fan base - or critical kudos) like Whitenoise can get a sequel - and Serenity don't?!?!?!?

2) whaddya get if you cross firefly with BSG and tru-calling??

ok ok, bearing in mind i'm functioning on impulse power only... (no not the deodorant dumb ass!)
i watched whitenoise2 last night...
it aint as good as waitress, first off - but it sure has more mal.
i watched it clear through and was disappointed when it ended too soon. it don't take itself too seriosly, there are some very silly, but often funny in-jokes nodding at everything from don't look now to firefly, it features a nice lead from fillion... yes it does so too...
obviously i am a nathflan but the boy does good, patented light speed gear shifts from hilarious to scary to bereft and the damndest charisma so even flintlocks like me are jmping up n down going "captain, my captain!". and he does it with a script that has NO charaterisation at ALL.

poor katee sackhoff gets a really thankless role... and one that her own generous helping of charisma can't provide much relief from.

so, anyhow - no spoilers here... go watch the film - just be aware it's dumb - real dumb... and also pretty thinly scripted, has poor effects and direction that is too polite... but you will definitely get your dollars worth of fillion (and in a role that gels nicely with the hero project) - and he proves that he really can carry most anything. bless the boy...

now go find him a script like 12 monkeys, happiness, 25th hour, etc something that deserves him...
