In 2004, Rob Thomas spear headed a new drama for the close-to-failing UPN Network. Named after the lead charcater, Veronica Mars was a modern-day Nancy Drew following up on campus crimes with the help of her PI father. The critics loved the show and it developed a loyal fan following, due mostly to the charm of Kristen Bell who played the title roll.

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

I miss Veronica, and would loved to have seen Thomas' proposed fourth season that would have jumped forward in time to when she was fresh out of the FBI Academy.

Well, wouldn't THAT be somethin'?

I'd love to see it; V-Mars was a favorite of mine - at least for its first two seasons. The third season seemed to go off the rails a bit, because it became increasingly clear that the writers were doing ANYTHING to chase better ratings, and the plotlines definitely seemed to suffer a bit for it. Still, at its worst, it was still better than most of the other stuff on the tube.

Bring us a movie, and I'll go see it. Bring it straight to DVD, and I'll buy it.

Wouldn't then she be the character from Heroes without the lightning bolts?

I loved this show, but the preview of the "jumping forward" fourth season was a bit flat for me.
Basically, where was Logan?
I know the on-again, off-again was a bit tiring, but he was a brilliant character.
And Mac..and Veronica's dad...and Wallace...and Weevil...
It is rare that a supporting cast is so excellent.
Yeah, I just want the series to stay the way it was, which is unlikely given the poor ratings....

I'm with ya - it couldn't even be the same if for some strange reason they lost Sheriff Lamb... ;)

Yeah, especially after we learned he was a Browncoat.

I'm not saying that the fast forward would have improved the series, especially not if Keith wasn't around, but at the time it seemed the only hope that The CW would give it another chance. My vision of how it should have continued would be for Keith to remain Sheriff and Veronica and Mac to take over Mars Investigations. They could have even renamed the show "Mars and McKenzie: PIs."

Lets hope this pans out. I'd love to see a movie, though I'd love a season 4 like that even more so.
