RIPWASH

Found this on-line. Looks like it was from last month but it could be older. I didn't find where it had been discussed before, so here you go!

I can't honestly tell if the author is a fan, kidding around, or what. Some his/her comments seemed pretty condescending.

What do you guys think?

"It's okay! I'm a leaf on the wind!!!"
"What does that mean?!?!?!"

"We'll know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false." -- William Casey, Reagan's presidential campaign manager & CIA Director (from first staff meeting in 1981)

I think the author's a fan, definitely. You can be a fan and still be snarky about it; I'm living proof!

PS: How do you know it wasn't ME who wrote that article?

PPS: It wasn't, but I'm just sayin'.

Sadly, my work filter blocks cracked so I won't be able to read this until I get home. However, cracked staffers are all fanboys of one sort or another and, even though they make fun of geek culture, it's the humour of the initiate not the sneer of the supercilious.

Kidding or not, thank you ripwash for posting it, the part about making paper effigies of Fox execs out of the ticket stubs and then burning them and dancing around it, well, god it just made me feel good!

Think I'll break out my virtual browncoat and dance around the flames of rebellion, just for old times sake, hah!

That was most excellent. My favorite parts?

The Pie Chart!
Responsibility for the Firefly Movie
These Guys (a group of people in Jayne hats) 80%
Universal Execs 8%
Voodoo 9%
DVD Sales 3%
LMAO

And this, because it's so true of just about any Whedon property you become attached to-

"Also, as you might imagine, Joss Whedon uses the last twenty minutes to turn every fan of the series into a weeping, foetal ball and you start to wonder whether any of the characters are going to live through the movie. "

Ash

If you follow some of the links there, you get:

For me, the highlight is the "Life of a Whedonite" Flowchart:
