I had heard Adam Baldwin was up for a role on the new Stargate Atlantis. Cinescape has a story announcing the cast, but I don't see A.B.'s name.

Does anyone have more information?

With the first week of filming already complete, Sci Fi Channel has unveiled the cast for its upcoming spinoff series STARGATE ATLANTIS, scheduled to debut on the cable network in July 2004....

Torri Higginson (Dr. Elizabeth Weir), the civilian leader of the Stargate Atlantis team and a specialist in diplomatic relations.

Joe Flanigan (Major John Sheppard), the Air Force leader of the group described as having "go-with-your-gut bravado" and a gifted pilot.

Rainbow Sun Francks (Lieutenant Aiden Ford), Sheppard's second-in-command, a young officer eager to prove his courage.

David Hewlett reprises his role as Dr. Rodney McKay, an astrophysicist that was introduced in the fifth season of STARGATE SG-1. He will be the group's main scientist.

Rachel Luttrell (Teyla), a member of a primitive human civilization discovered in the Pegasus galaxy by the Atlantis team.

Additionally, former X-FILES cast member Robert Patrick will guest star in the two-hour pilot episode as Colonel Marshall Sumner.

Hopefully our boy, Adam will be too busy filming the FF movie for the next while to have a steady gig on a tv show.

JEWEL

Well, I know he was trying to get on the show but I never heard anything certain. Who knows, maybe he will show up as a guest, if nothing else.

LINDLEY

SG1 was heavy on recurring guest stars. Heck, Dr. Frasier was never in the main cast list, despite being in at least 2/3rds of the episodes.

I'm still holding out for "Recurring Guest Star" Jayne. ;)

Adam Baldwin was in a two parter episode recently (just a week or two ago i think) as the leader of one of the SG teams. Who knows, maybe he'll be back!
