I enjoyed Bones for a while, but gave it up this season. Too many cheesy product placements hamfistedly done (the whole "Avatar" episode really put me off), and the stories just don't ever really seem to be going anywhere. At least, not enough to keep my attention. The thing is, Bones doesn't even conflict with anything else in my schedule; I just got bored with it and walked away.

Oh - and Big Bang Theory already has twice as many Firefly shout-outs. At least.

I really do appreciate all the firefly references they're making but I just can't get into the show. Community will be on in my house.

NBC's Thursday night line up should be called "SNL has-beens night"!

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

I'll watch Big Bang live because CBS is a network that is not reliable about making its programs available online, plus if you download one of their shows they may make a complaining call to your ISP, which has happened to me twice.

I can catch Bones on Hulu and Community on either Hulu or nbc.com.

Why I love BBT?

First, I took a chance because of Johnny Galecki (Leonard) and Kaley Cuoco (Penny); I knew those guys from other sit-coms and thought "Give it a chance" (BTW I'm normally not very fond of comedies on CBS).

When I saw that it was funny from Day One I thought "This could be something special, barring that they don't screw it up." I kinda liked the idea of a bunch of nerdy unhip guys, who are really smart, being so dumb when it comes to certain things; but the plus for me was that they were into sci-fi and comic books (I once had a really cool collection of comics from my teen years). Love the premise; that could be us - minus the superbrain.

What sealed the deal was the cool Firefly references and having Summer on the show.

Nailed it!

As far as Bones goes I watched one episode when they were in London and it never quite piqued my interest.

Yeah, I noticed that CBS will put their less popular shows online, but BBT is No. 1 (it may be Tow and a Half Men, I'm not sure) and they want to squeeze as much out of that show as possible.

Mnay times I can't watch it live because of work, but if they move it to Thursdays at 8 pm - well, happy, happy, joy, joy.

Unfortunately for me, I've got a running feud with the local NBC affiliate and TimeWarner, who can't seem to figure out WHY I don't get NBC in HD. This has been going on since before the Olympics. They're allegedly going to send someone out to test the line from the house to the pole, because nothing else has helped.

Anyway, because of that, NBC has been off my DVR queue for a few months now.

FORTUNATELY, though, they're really really good about putting almost ALL the NBC shows on the HD On-Demand service within a day or two of them airing, so I get to watch them all, when I want, with far fewer commercials. That's a win for me!

As such, I can record two other shows to the DVR, and watch NBC later on the On-Demand service.

But Bones still won't be in my lineup. Community definitely will, as will TBBT. :)
