I really liked it. Very well written. The right actors to pull it off. It has story with action. Good detail through out. No complaints. If you don't know English history try to watch A lion in Winter. This movie picks up after that one. I guess they'll make a sequel. Good flick. Better than I was anticipating. Crowe and Kate work plus they seem always to put out good movies.

Honestly, as much as I wanted to like it, I just couldn't. There were things I liked about it, like the cast and the soundtrack, but ultimately it felt flat, lifeless and boring to me.

I found it hard to pinpoint exactly why I had a problem with it, and I think it was possibly the script/pacing.

It was alright, but ultimately I've seen much better work from everyone involved.

The movie might be for the older crowd.

This is why I'm not going to see it. Granted I haven't seen a lot of his movies, but I've never seen a good one either.

I like Crowe and Scott a lot, but I can't get over the notion that this is a Robin Hood origin starring a man who is the same age the the oldest Robin Hood to date, when Sean Connery played him as retired.

And the "Nottingham" script they started with and threw out to make this origin story was a far more interesting project.
"I thoroughly disapprove of duels. If a man should challenge me, I would take him kindly and forgivingly by the hand and lead him to a quiet place and kill him."

Crowe looks like he has been out in the sun to much. I liked the Sean Connery one but when I got older.
