I have a goal to go to either of these if not both before I'm 50 (9 years away). which one's better? any tips? Also due to my chronic crowd-a-phobia I may need 9 years just to prepare myself to deal with strangers touching me and getting in my way. hopefully I can be there with friends as it seems to blanket the effect. My potential crowd dread is slightly outweighed by the knowledge that while i'm there totally fascinating strangers will inevitably tell me their equally fascinating stories...this happens to me everywhere I go even if i'm in a tetchy mood sometimes the strangers and stories are not so shiny, but i'm thinking that won't be a problem at the cons.

SISTER

Never been to ComiCom; DragonCon, though; been there quite a few times. I am not fond of crowds, either; so I arrive a day before; get settled in my room (Marriott Marquis...middle of the action).. get my pass as soon as the lines open and lurk around the edges.Planning what panels/gatherings to be at. Sometimes the best show is sitting outside the hotel...watching the parade of fantastics. Perhaps starting with D*C...then, if you enjoy it...trying ComiCon the following year? Two years of geekfest!!
