Boris(one of our Down-under Flans) is going for some Honors thesis thing that must be completed by the end of the month. I have no ides what that really entails, but it sounds pretty tough...If you have a moment to wish her well, please do so!

Ah, hell, nobody knows what the crap I'm talking about again...Still, I'm surprised no one just picked one anyway...

Basically, my step-mo thinks that things in this world are usually more black and white, and I say just about everything is a "shade of gray"
I'm just wondering if everyone else is one or the other.

I had a thought today (just one! and boy is my brain tired ;)

I think we oughta try ta get goups of Flans in full costume to invade "Let's make a Deal" and see if they can get some screen time?? That would be an awesome thing to see!

Also, my kid said today that the next event we go to she wants to go as Zoe instead of Kaylee, which I thought was interesting... I'll have to ask if it's because she wants a gun instead of a parasol, of if she likes leather now???

I'm colorblind so shades of gray is easier for me lol. In a moral sense, I'm inclined to say black or white, but from the outside these things can look very gray. In my opinion, it's the intentions of the individual that decides where it is 'black' or 'white' and only they can know that for sure, so by necessity we have to view things as gray because we can never really know what they are thinking.

Hmmm. Internal and external relativism, good points. I used to be more black and white as a kid, but the older I get the more shades of gray I see. I wonder if my step-mo sees black and white because she never really tried to see the whole picture...

I also wonder if Mal's character became more black and white after the trauma of war and having his planet fried (leastwise it seems that way to me) and drawing hard lines helped him deal and make sense of a world gone crazy? Or was he always that way? Or is it justa device that helps him be Captain? I wonder if he's more internally conflicted than he seems and if his character was gonna head that way? Where's Joss when ya need him.....

PS- HappyTrader, My family's got lots of colorblinders. My brother got a waiver to be an air traffic controller years ago, then they recinded it just as he graduated... Also, my (girl) cousin is colorblind, and that's fairly rare...
