"Raises Questions"??? What questions? It's a fact of life and we all know it! In an article decrying the big money in political campaigns, I almost spit my V8 all over the keyboard when I read this:
Quote:

" It actually sends a picture that our entire system of money and politics is completely broken," said Craig Holman of the consumer advocacy organization Public Citizen.
This even needs SAYING?!?! It's not a "picture", it's reality, and everyone with half a brain knows it!

What world do these people live in that they even question it or call it a "picture"?? We need to stop it, not complain that it "makes it look" like something it already IS!

Found this amusing, however, as it speaks (given the other article I found which showed that the majority of donations Obama has received came from people sending less than $200) to the fact that more VOTERS are donating to Obama than the rest:
Quote:

According to a USA Today survey, the president outraised Republican frontrunner Mitt Romney in two-thirds of the country. He was ahead of all four Republican hopefuls in 19 states.

While some of his opponents also hold lavish events and tap wealthy donors, the president gets more scrutiny... http://whitehouse.blogs.cnn.com/2012/02/17/president-obamas-west-coast
-gold-rush-raises-questions-about-big-money/

Exactly how stupid do they think we ARE, to talk about it "raising questions" and "sending a picture"?? It's been getting worse and worse every election, and the addition of "corporations are people" just upped the ante by leaps and bounds! Shees...

Seriously...today's stories: "Pro Romney super PAC drops millions more on ads", "Billionaire expected to donate $10M to pro-Gingrich super PAC", "Santorum surge linked to Super PAC prevalence", "Perry 'super PAC' fueled by a cadre of Texas businessmen"...gimme a BREAK!

Oh, wait. Never mind. THEY ALREADY DO !

What an absolutely meaningless statement which has absolutely NO relevance to the subject. The MSM does stories on Big Money about EVERYONE running who's using Big Money. Which means everyone who has a chance at being a front runner. What's the difference??? It fails me what kind of ridiculous point you're trying to make...oh, wait, you're not, you're just snarking, as usual...silly me.

How many of the unwashed knows how much money Barry gets from Hollywood, Wall Street, (Yes Wall Street) and the Unions, also it's been learned that Media Matters has been working with the White House and MSNBC. They should raise question about how much FREE press Barry gets from the MSM. ABC, CNN, NBC and NYT are in the Demorats back pocket and EVERYBODY knows it, the differance between now and 08 is now they look like fools when they do it. That's why the ratings for CNN and MSNBC are in the can.

To put a finer point on it, Niki...

THIS is how the media shapes and crafts public opinion. They hype up meaningless stories, ignore important ones, all by focusing on PART of the story, and /or omitting the other side entirely.

Oh, sure, they'll inbed a snippet of a counter point, maybe, from time to time. But the headline and over all tone of the story will be determined by the headlines used, the language used and adding the always insightful " some sources are suggesting... ". It's day time soap opera drivel, mostly, masquerading as ' journalism'.

I just find it funny that you get your granny boxers in a bunch when it's Obama THE GREAT who gets treated like this, ONCE, and still feign blindness that this is pretty much how the MSM treats conservatives, as standard operating proceedure.

Yet another irrelevant snark.

A) I don't wear "boxers", and even if I did, this would hardly put them in a "bunch. And, to quote someone I seem to recall, "I didn't marry", as in I'm nobody's Granny.

B) I'm not talking about Obama or anyone ELSE specifically, I have been decrying the Big Money in Politics thing virtually forever, whoever it is...and it's everyone.

C) Of COURSE I know about all that crap the MSM does, haven't we discussed that at length? This was put up to remark on how asinine it is that they think there are "questions" that need to be "raised"...as if we don't already know it. Which has nothign to do with Obama or any OTHER candidate for ANYTHING. Shees!

You just gotta reach, don'tcha? Can't resist trying to find SOME kind of spin on it to diss me, Obama, and half the people in America. I realize the concept of "perspective" is as foreign to you as that of a world which isn't flat black and white. Which is sad for you.

What' really funny is how we're some what in agreement, but because it's ME, you have to go off the rails and claim otherwise.

Anthony: He didn't get it. No biggie, he never does. As to his attempt to justify, the post was meaningless because the point it made was stupid, he just had to reach for a way to dig at Obama. We all knew that.

Actually, Niki, it's YOU who doesn't " get it".

My comments, if you actually READ them, weren't about Obama at all, but the MSM.

But you're so brain locked on hated anything I have to say, even when I happen to agree w/ you, you have to spin it all around and start something which didn't need to be started in the first place.

Once again.

YOU're the one who turned it into partisan jabs at the left. I've been decrying superPACs and Big Money in politics all along quite vociferously, but you had to lie and say I "feign blindness". We agree as to what the MSM does, but you just had to pull some snarks about Obama out of it. You've managed to goad me into responding a couple of times, but you can't lie about how you did it.

Riona: Yes, it's only a partial reference, but you see, Jim and I only married after we'd been living together for ten years and only THEN so I could put him on the dental coverage offered by my employers. If it hadn't been for that, we'd never have gotten married; I never planned to and I definitely never intended to have children. Insofar as "Granny", the connection works. If you'd prefer, "Much like Book's remark about being called Grandpa, 'I never had children' and am nobody's Granny". Better?

See, now you're just being beyond childish. My quote doesn't have 1 damn thing to do w/ Obama, AND YOU KNOW IT !

Dontchya just love how Obama was against superPACs, before he was for them? Of course, being a Democrat, Obama has the luxury of benefiting from superPACs already, only they're not referred to as such. UNIONS and trial lawyers, is how they're more typically referred to, in the common parlance. But what the hell, any opportunity to raise MORE money is fine by Barry, huh?

Niki, once again, me not agreeing with you doesn't make me a LIAR. STOP SAYING IT DOES. Hell, you're so damn use to throwing that word around, you even call me a liar when we DO agree!

Nope, not a lie. My OPINION. And it's a damn apt one, at that. See how you squirm when it's YOUR ox being gored, but sit on you hands and whistle at the clouds when the MSM routinely pulls that stunt on conservatives.

It's more honesty than you're capable of dealing with, obviously.
