My ma just told me he died. Dude perpetually looked old, but not-that-old. 82 is not a bad run for a man, especially one who (I assume) lived pretty well and was too old for the paparazzi to stalk.

RIP, Mr. Clark....

So who's going to do New Years Eve this year?

Please tell me it's not Mario Lopez, or somebody equally as lame....

All I know is that Flo and Kay, the twin savants, are going to be devistated, it will be very hard for them because he's their favorite person in the world. I'm sure their caregivers are trying to think of some way to keep them from finding out for a while, to buy some time.

I assume you're my pal until you let me know otherwise.

BUP

No more running. I aim to misbehave.

R.I.P. There are generations of kids that never will know what American Bandstand was all about. I am glad I have memories of it airing on Saturday mornings. An American Icon has passed on. Are there any left?

Nobody. Dick Clark *IS* New Year's Eve. Without him, there can be no countdown, no ball drop, no New Year's.

Well played, Mayans. Well played indeed.
