Conservative Nut Case Michelle Malkin Says British Progressives Are To Blame For Beheading Of Soldier

The tragic murder of a British soldier stunned the world this week, but Michelle Malkin used the opportunity to blame progressives for ‘bringing on themselves.’

“In large part, unfortunately, in British culture, among the progressives there, they brought it on themselves in some ways because of lax deportation policies and an unwillingness to screen out and profile Islamic militants who are now doing this in a homegrown manner.”

To imply that anyone’s politics is to blame for religious fanaticism that manifests itself in the beheading of a British soldier is tantamount to calling someone “Hitler” just because they disagree with you.

The problem with these kinds of small-scale terrorist attacks, the kind grown of religious extremism and perpetrated by individuals or small groups, is that they are extremely difficult to sniff out. In order to find them, the government would have to infringe on all those liberties that conservatives claim to hold so dear. But of course, the moment something like this happens, they are the first to turn around and burn in their righteous indignation, crying that the government should have done more to track down these people and stop the attacks in the first place.

You can’t have it both ways. You can’t tell the government to stay out of your business then scream at them for not knowing what any certain individual is up to. What makes this worse is that later in the debate, Sean Hannity brings up guns. Big surprise. Hannity says:

“And also it does bring into question gun laws. If the soldier had been able to protect himself, and defend himself, which people all over the media in this country bragging about the fact, wow, they don’t, people don’t have guns in England.”

Of course, Malkin chimes right in to say that one of the assailants did have a gun. Just forget the fact that this attack came out of nowhere and the soldier would have had zero time to reach for a gun. But apparently the right-wing would have him stop and say, “Hold on, let me grab my gun before you hatchet me to death.” Such is conservative logic; the biggest oxymoron of all time.

Being the kind of right-wing nut job that she is, there is even the “Michelle Malkin Award” created by self-described conservative Andrew Sullivan. Sullivan says of the award:

The Malkin Award, named after blogger Michelle Malkin, is for shrill, hyperbolic, divisive and intemperate right-wing rhetoric. Ann Coulter is ineligible – to give others a chance. http://www.addictinginfo.org/2013/05/25/conservative-nut-case-michelle

Right Wing Hate Group Director: ‘Boy Scouts Should Be Renamed To Boy Sodomizers’

Showing just how deeply offended the right-wing is about the Boy Scouts embrace of scouting equality, Bryan Fischer, religious nut job-in-chief for the extreme right, has declared that the Boy Scouts shall now be called the “Boy Sodomizers of America.”

Bryan Fischer, known for his extreme views on various subjects but especially homosexuality, is the Director of Issue Analysis for Government and Public Policy for the American Family Association. The AFA is listed as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center, a classification that was motivated, in large part, by Fischer’s anti-gay statements on his radio show. The inflammatory remarks he made on his show this Friday were par for the course for him:

“We might as well rename this organization now. BSA no longer stands for the Boy Scouts of America. It now stands for the boy sodomizers of America because that is exactly is what is gonna happen.”

Fischer then goes on to read some words from the Gospel of Luke about not leading “little ones” into temptation, saying that the words were from Jesus directly to the Boy Scouts. Fischer goes on to say:

“I would not want to be in the shoes of a Boy Scout executive standing before the throne of God, being judged by the man who spoke those words, by the God who spoke those words. That is not gonna be a pretty picture.”

How much longer are we going to have to put up with hateful bigots like Fischer who insist that by expanding liberties we are somehow promoting the destruction of everything good in the world? Fischer sits in front of a screen showing images of the Constitution, the very document to which we look to define our freedoms, and the American Flag, our nation’s symbol of freedom, while spewing his anger and hate at a segment of society that has done nothing to deserve that vitriol except ask for those freedoms to be expanded in their favor. Using his Bible, that ancient document our Founding Fathers excluded from a role in American politics by the same Constitution that is shown behind him, he hides behind 2000 year-old words that have little to do with modern society, much less modern politics. Fischer uses the words of an historical figure, one who proclaimed love and concern for our fellow human, and twists them in such a way as to justify his hate and wrath for those who do not think like him. How Christ like of him.

As Ghandi famously said, “I like your Christ. I do not like your Christians. They are so unlike your Christ.” http://www.addictinginfo.org/2013/05/25/right-wing-hate-group-director

Leader Of Anti-Abortion Group Thinks Rapes Are Like Car Accidents And Victims Should Pay For Abortions

Every once in a while a right-wing lunatic says something so outrageous that we all pause for a minute and ask,”WTF?”

On Wednesday, the Michigan Board of State Canvassers approved a group’s proposal to collect signatures for a ballot initiative. The group called No Taxes for Abortion Insurance wants a measure on the next ballot that would ban insurance coverage for elective abortions even in the case of rape and incest unless businesses and individuals also had supplemental insurance specifically for abortions. Last year, Governor Rick Snyder vetoed a similar law saying that it did not go far enough to protect rape victims. Now the anti-abortion activists seek to bypass Snyder; petitioners have 180 days anytime within the next year to gather at least 258,088 signatures and the legislature could either adopt it or put it on the 2014 ballots. Legislation brought forth by citizens, like this one, is veto-proof, therefore it would be safe from Snyder. Rebecca Kiessling, a pro-life lawyer says that the law that the Governor vetoed and the new initiative are in part due to the need to protect ‘babies’ conceived through rape from abortion:

The petition drive is to override Governor Snyder’s veto of the opt out of abortion coverage in Obamacare,” she explained to LifeNews. “Governor Snyder had issued a letter at the end of December stating that he vetoed the bill because it did not have a rape exception. Right to Life of Michigan tried to convince Governor Snyder to pass the bill without an exception but he refused. Therefore they decided to embark on this very costly endeavor of collecting 258,088 signatures within 180 days, which Right to Life of Michigan is confident they will achieve. This sets a great example to the pro-life movement that the least of these are worth fighting for,” she said.

Because, of course, there’s nothing better than forcing a rape victim to carry a pregnancy to term that is a result of a brutal rape. How sweet of the pro-life movement of Michigan to be so thoughtful about the damaging effects that might have on a woman.

No, here’s where the WTF?! moment comes in. Barbara Listing, the leader of Right to Life, was asked by a reporter how can a woman be expected to buy abortion insurance in anticipation of being raped and she responded:

“Nobody plans to have an accident in a car accident, nobody plans to have their homes flooded. You have to buy extra insurance for those two.”

That’s right folks, she just compared rape to a car accident. Because being thrown down and having your clothes ripped off by some predator and being brutally raped is totally the same thing as someone rear-ending you.

Pro-fetus groups have got to be the most insensitive people in the world. While this is the first time I’ve ever heard an abortion compared to a car accident it is not the first time I’ve seen complete disregard for victims of rape or incest. That behavior is common.

They need to just start being honest: they do not care how violently someone is raped as long as they can control the choice the victim makes in regards to her own body. That’s what it is about: control. It surely isn’t about protecting children because the same groups that do not support a woman’s right to choose also would love to do away with the social programs that help care for poor children.

Hopefully the measure will fail, Rick Snyder’s veto will stand, and women in Michigan will not have any more of their rights chipped away. http://www.addictinginfo.org/2013/05/25/shannons-piece-on-pro-fetus-le

Brainless Republican Cruelly Tells Woman She Should Have Carried Brain Dead Fetus To Term

Conservative states across the nation have been passing so-called fetal pain bills banning abortion after 20 weeks of pregnancy on the false notion that fetuses can feel pain at that point of development. Unfortunately for the women who live in states with such laws, it is impossible to humanely abort a fetus that has an excruciatingly debilitating defect that will cause the fetus to die in womb or suffer painfully before dying shortly after birth.

Not only do these women have to suffer immense heartbreak watching their baby suffer at a hospital for most of its short and painful life, their families suffer financially as well. But none of that matters to Texas Republican Congressman Louie Gohmert.

During a Thursday House panel hearing about H.R. 1797, a fetal pain bill being pushed at the federal level by Arizona Rep. Trent Franks, Gohmert cruelly told a woman testifying against the bill that she should have been forced to carry her brain dead fetus to term and watch it die while her family suffered financially from the hospital bills.

"Christy Zink told lawmakers her heartbreaking story of discovering that at 21 weeks, her fetus had absolutely no brain function and wouldn’t live long, if at all, outside the womb and would suffer painfully all of the time. Rather than watch her baby suffer, Zink made the decision to have an abortion, thereby sparing the fetus of suffering that would have been incurred due to the defect that couldn’t have been detected any earlier by doctors."

LOUIE GOHMERT’S RESPONSE:

“Ms. Zink, having my great sympathy and empathy both. I still come back wondering, shouldn’t we wait, like that couple did, and see if the child can survive before we decide to rip him apart? So. These are ethical issues, they’re moral issues, they’re difficult issues, and the parents should certainly be consulted. But it just seems like, it’s a more educated decision if the child is in front of you to make those decisions.”

There are at least three problems with Gohmert’s response. First, he is clearly and cruelly trying to shame Zink by accusing her or ripping her fetus apart. Just his use of those words is an outrage. Second, Gohmert says parents should be consulted, but only the government should make the decision of whether or not a fetus can be aborted. That’s an egregious example of government intrusion into our personal lives and medical decisions, which Republicans constantly and hypocritically say they oppose. Lastly, Gohmert says the decision to have an abortion should be made when “the child is in front of you.” In other words, AFTER the baby is born.

The point of legal abortion is so that women have the option to terminate a pregnancy that will result in death, pain, or suffering of the fetus or the woman. Terminating a baby after birth is known as murder. The Constitution guarantees that “all persons born” have rights not before.

Fetal pain bills are cruel. They are also unconstitutional and were written based on absurd and scientifically unsupported claims that fetuses can feel pain at 20 weeks. In the past two months, two such laws in Idaho and Arizona have been struck down by the federal courts. Medical science has time and time again debunked the right-wing fetal pain theory. Fetuses actually do not have the capacity to feel pain until the third trimester because they lack the connections in the brain that are necessary to send pain signals. That’s science as opposed to the desperate theories concocted by anti-abortion fanatics in their quest to subjugate women and destroy personal privacy.

Republicans have zero compassion for the women and families they are seeking to harm. They would rather see a fetus be born, suffer, and die in excruciating pain at a severe emotional and financial cost to the mother rather than allow women to make the heartbreaking but humane choice to terminate the pregnancy. http://www.addictinginfo.org/2013/05/24/republican-louie-gohmert-tells

Did you get that? He thinks a woman should CARRY a fetus with "absolutely no brain function" for another EIGHTEEN WEEKS, knowing the child will die as soon as it's born anyway, AND pay the medical bills!

There simply are no words...
