Hello all, I didn't see a specific place to introduce yourself so if I'm posting this in the wrong place please accept my apologies. I'm a new convert to Firefly. A work colleague had been trying to get me to watch the series since 2008 but for some reason I proved myself to be all manner of stupid by resisting until a week ago.

I've now watched the series 3 times and Serenity twice so far. I'm stunned by (a) my own stupidity for taking this long to watch the show and (b) the stupidity and short-sightedness of the Fox network for the way they first screwed up the showing of Firefly and then the cancelation that followed shortly after.

So hi to everyone, if there are any Irish browncoats on here hi to you too.

BTW I made a Serenity wallpaper over the weekend and thought I'd share. It's 1600x900 but if anyone wants a different size let me know and I will make a version

Ah mah favorite kind!
We've had several over the years, but if'n ye see a man by the name of dun in chat, yer in like company. I've talked to him for hours before and went away knowing less than I did before I came in. The whole "answering a question with a question" thing is a whole new conversational experience...

Me and the mister both have Irish surnames, as well.

Have you found the graffic novels and comics yet? Those aren't really up my alley, as I'm an auditory learner, but they're better than nuthin', and at least answer a couple questions...

Alas, you missed the letter writing campaigns, bargaining with the devil, and quite a lot of silliness over the years, but yer in luck- we still hand out virtual Browncoats -and if you wander off up the ramp and off to the left you'll find the galley, and I'm sure there'll be some useful Mudder's Milk to drown your latecomer sorrows and might still be some chocolatey tastin cake, too!

After, there's the RWED(real world events discussion) section if you like arguing (come armed and wary) and there's chat(more of a message board, but occasionally you can catch us about)

So settle in and take yer boots off and let yer hair down, your home now!

BTW, I hereby nickname you "Manners", 'cuz it just don't seem neighborly to call a newb "stoopid". After all you still saw what makes FF great, and that's pretty special, no matter how long it took ya to get here...

Thanks for the welcome guys, it's good to be among friends. I regret not being a part of the campaigns but I ain't giving up hope yet no matter how long the odds. I've always had a soft spot for the underdog. @ WISHIMAY, "Manners" will do fine and it's a lot easier to type

That's a nice wallpaper. I'd mess with the colours on the firefly so that it had more of a blue tint in keeping with the lighting on the rest of the picture, but pretty good. The clouds and the moon with the Serenity in chinese characters are excellent.
