As one who doesn't keep up w/ the comic book canon and backstories of all that goes on, it's dawned on me that heroes and villains range from mere humans with unique abilities, super humans, near immortals to godlike creatures. From the MCU, we have the likes of Black Widow and Hawkeye - folks with skill sets, but still just human. Iron Man isn't even all that much, with out his suit, besides a billionaire, playboy, philanthropists... Then we have the altered humans , Capt. America, Hulk, Spider-man. Next come the near immortals, like Asgardians ? Thor is mightier than most, save for Odin, who himself is at near god like levels of power. Then what next... Thanos, Galactus ? Just curious, but IS there a one true ' supreme ' being out there ? Because all these powers these characters have, one more amazing than the next, reminds me of the video comparing our sun to the large and larger stars in the cosmos, until we find the ridiculously large hyper giants. And back to Thor... should he ever carry on, and one day TRULY take the throne from Odin, will that mean he's achieved Odin like powers ? Is that something he grows into ? Or must it be given to him ?

Quote: If all known lifeforms are humanoid, but we don't have the same powers, does that mean we were the cast-offs, the slaves, of those we descended from? If there is one God, then perhaps all lifeforms were made in his image. But with varying degrees of his God power. This might also broker the division of Sci-Fi (Spidey, Capt. America, Hulk) versus Fantasy (the non-Terran powerful).

Hey, I did mention the Asgardians, Thor and Odin. As well as Thanos, Galactus... Superman is D.C.... duh ! But the same logic applies, I reckon. By backstories and " canon ", I just mean I have not heard of much of who most of these characters are, and how they came to be. I only know of Thanos and Starlord because they're in the gorram movies. Doctor Strange ? Captain Marvel ? 1st time I ever heard of them.
