America loves a winner!

Why does Hollywood , at least the old guard, show so much reference for this guy ?

Is it based purely on his artistic genius, and Hollywood being who they are, willingly looks past his criminal record ? Kinda like how some folks will always give Woody Allen a pass ?

Because with attitudes towards men these days, like Harvey, and him, it seems to me like his welcome would have worn a bit thin. I mean, he DID drug and rape a young teenager when he was in his 30's. Roy Moore lost an election over mere CLAIMS of creeping on some girls that age, but he never was even accused of raping them. Polanski was CONVICTED of that crime.

Is there some level of sympathy some feel he's owed, due to the murder of his wife and unborn child by the Manson family ?

Or possibly, most of Hollywood knows there are skeletons in almost everyone's closet, and by holding him up, they send a collective " Yeah, so what ? " message to the rest of society ?

Never have understood this, so TIA for anyone who can explain it to me.

Called Harvey " God ", denied he did any wrongdoing , praised Polanski... yep, bonafide queen of Hollywood alright.

Fathom the hypocrisy of a government that requires every citizen to prove they are insured... but not everyone must prove they are a citizen

If Harvey Weinstein's game had been widely known from the woman's side, emphasis on woman's, it would have been the end of the game. The women kept quiet until they stopped keeping quiet, then that's the end of HW and the complicated career games he played with women.

There is an article speculating about how HW worked. The women STILL aren't talking in sufficient detail about HW. We will have to wait for the books to be published. The real story would possibly make them look like Inara, except in this Universe the Companions are not respected, so these 20th to 21st Century Inaras are disgusted by HW and have, for the most part, kept quiet until now.

Joss never explained the path Companionship took to high respectability in the 26th Century. There must be extra elements that complicate Companionship besides sex, money, powerful producer, and actress's career, but what elements?

The story DID NOT NAME the thoughtless comedian. That is very cowardly of the writer from the country claiming to be "the home of the brave and the land of the free" in the national anthem.

Harvey's antics were known. Everyone knew. Actresses well known and never heard of had to deal w/ his antics. They knew and yet they kept quiet, for fear of not getting work, and for being labeled as a " problem " actress. ' She rocks the boat. She makes wild accusations that don't promote a good image for the company or the industry.... '

C'mon. This sort of stuff is old as Hollywood itself. ' Casting couch ' got its name for a reason.

If there is an 'Elite Machine' and whoever they are I think they would ahve tried to blackmail both sides

Trump is a flawed man, he was a womanizer, however I do not think they had him trapped or blackmailed.

Others were blackmailed both Democrat and Republican.

Some people can not see beyond the corruption and play party politics, the reports of Roy Moore having sexually assaulted teenage girls in the past came to light, Posobiec for example decided to defend Moore, and in doing so decided to take the classy route and dox one of Moore's accusers by posting her name and workplace on his Twitter. the bullshit artist Jack Posobiec later deleted the post, claiming he did it out of "respect" for the accuser.

She's back to hanging out with Lindsay Lohan who is rumored to be selling herself across the Middle East, Mary Louise "Meryl" Streep is from that Liberty Hippie drug woodstock movement 1960s and 70s but she is also old elite schools Brotherhood Lodges and Sisterhoods at the Yale School of Drama.
