I have always said buying Oil from Terroristic countries that hate America is a bad idea for America, however you can have your own local fuel and you have other ideas like you can back up power with Hydro, Solar, Nuclear and others...that's what the West should have done planned ahead

We don't really have anything to back it up, no scifi future of jetsons cartoon Flying Cars, Fuel Companies shut or going out of business, no Wormholes or Spaceships or 'Cold Fusion'.

Germany even went as far as to shut down its Nuclear Reactors despite none of them having accidents

Nah.

There's literally nothing to power any of this stuff right now. California had to put out orders that people couldn't charge their cars just days after they made that proposal law.

The only way this is ever going to happen is by ramping up Nuclear power plants worldwide on a huge scale. They take decades to build and test. I mean... I guess you could just go to Home Depot hire a bunch of Illegal Mexican scabs to build them. I would probably suggest that you don't do that and hope that I live in a state where that would be illegal.
