So what do we expect? CNN will give the Biden team the questions ahead of time, of course (actually, it's more likely that the Biden team will give CNN the questions). Biden will have 90-second responses memorized for every question he's going to be asked. They'll have him wired up in some way so that someone can feed the answers into his ear while he's speaking. The moderators will do everything they can to help him get started, and will cut him off as soon as he starts to stumble. They'll be very friendly and accommodating to him and will gently remind him of his cues whenever it looks like he's having a hard time. They won't ask him anything even remotely difficult, naturally.

Meanwhile, Tapper and Bush will constantly be trying to pick fights with Trump. Any time Trump starts to get on a roll and get something going, they'll cut his mic and ask a hostile follow-up question designed to distract from whatever point he was about to make and get him to throw a tantrum. At least 80% of the debate will be Trump vs. the moderators, with Biden mostly just standing there. The moderators will make the debate a referendum on Trump while basically ignoring Biden's actual presidency. And of course afterwards the MSM will trip over itself writing headlines like "Trump Goes off the Trials in Wild Debate" or "Biden in Control at Debate."
