I'm so excited! Having read on FFF.net about Wonderfalls, I decided that I would get the DVDs as soon as they became available. It's not planned for release in the UK - luckily, I have a multi-region DVD player, so I can watch US DVDs.

I pestered Loaded247.com (they specialise in shipping US DVDs to UK) to list it, and they eventually listed it last Friday. Even though the official US release is the 1st Feb, I got my DVDs today.

Sadly, due to work commitments, I won't actually be able to watch it until the weekend, but I plan to watch all the episodes then.

Those of you that saw the few episodes that were actually aired in the US, is there anythingin particular I should look out for??

You lucky, lucky .... BritChick!! Major jealousy here too, if you couldn't tell. One more week for us poor saps in the USofA.
There are a few things I remember from the series that could be Firefly-related. The term "shindig" is used at least once, there is at least one "apple" reference, and of course our Jewel makes several appearances in later episodes. I'm sure you'll enjoy the DVDs once you get to watch them. Try not to gloat too much, eh?

I can't wait to get mine. I was lucky enough to have the un-aired episodes but it's not the same as having a TRUE box set!

Now if only "Dead Like Me" and "Jeremiah" seasons 2 will come out.....

I was right all along. I ordered via Amazon.com, and they're not due to ship 'till mid Feb. How did anyone already get theirs so early ? I know here in the US that the release date was pushed back ( for no damn good reason )from its original date.

Oh well. I guess when I hear all those ads about Valentines, I can just remind myself that it really means - Wonderfalls!

Going to get mine on the 1st, then dropping off the face of the earth to watch them. I only saw the 3-4 episodes that aired so I'm looking forward to all the ones many have seen via the net, oh and Jewel.

I couldn't wait til the weekend to watch it, so last night I watched the first four episodes - the whole of DVD1.

The first episode ("Wax Lion") was OK, made me think it was the kind of thing I wouldn't mind watching but might not miss a 'night out' for. It was soooo much better than Joan of Arcadia, less...preachy/moralistic, and way funnier. (I know JoA isn't a comedy. At least it isn't funny - is that the same thing?)

By episode 2 ("Pink Flamingoes" - the one with the school reunion), it had really grown on me. I just had to watch ep 3 ("Karma Chameleon" - Single White Female), I decided it was very very good, and I think I am hooked.

And then there was only one left, so I just had to watch the last episode on the DVD ("Wound Up Penguin" - the one with the nun).

Now, I had actually promised my husband that I wouldn't start watching them until he got back from the US on Saturday.... so I either have a bit of explaioning to do, or maybe I'll just say nothing and we can watch them all again together.

I'm really looking forward to starting on the was that were unaired, and I can't wait to see Jewel!

Thanks to everyone on the board who chatted about the series when it was aired in the US, I wouldn't have bothered otherwise.
