"What did you say?" Mal asked River.
"I said the she is a psychic, like me," River re-answered.
"Huh, what have you been hiding from me, Leo?" Mal asked.
"We all have our secrets, Mal," Leo smiled, "Especially you."
Mal turned to Julien, "Did you know about this?" he asked.
"No, I had no idea that my wife can hear every thought that my brain conjures up," Julien answered sarcastically.
"Well how was I meant to know!" Mal's voice started to get louder. "She never told me!"
"That's because you never slept with her!" Julien yelled. ("As far as you know," Mal muttered.) "In fact, the last person you probably slept with was Zoe!"
There was a long akward silence before Simon said quietly, "I think we should leave."
"No way, I'm not missing a second of this!" Jayne said excitedly.
Mal and Julien both turned and looked at Jayne before they both yelled at the same time, "OUT!" and pointed at the door.
On his way out Jayne said, "Great, now we got two Mals and two crazies," moments before he was knocked down by a double-punch from Zoe and Leo. "And two Zoes! That's fucking brilliant!"

After they all left the dining room, Mal slammed the door shut. All seven of the crew were standing there in the hall, only five of them were suprised.
"Are they gonna be OK?" Kaylle asked.
"Yeah, it sounded like they were gonna kill each other," Simon agreed.
Leo and Zoe looked at each other with a knowing look. "They'll be fine," they said in chorus.
Mal and Julien laughed hareder than either of them had in a long time.
Mal regained composure. "Whoo, it's been too long," he said.
"Way too long," Julien agreed.
"I mean, 'The last person you slept with was Zoe,'" Mal repeated. "Are you serious?"
"I had to think on my feet."
Mal sighed, "But Leo being psychic and all, that's suprising."
"You think you were suprised," Julien scoffed, "Imagine how I found out!"
"Do I really want to?" Mal asked.
"Probably not."
Mal walked over to the fridge and started to pour a drink. "Now there's a shiny thought I really needed," Mal joked. "But you should probably tell Leo to not spill any more of the crew's thoughts. It's not the fastest way to make friends."
"Niether's lying about your feelings," Julien stated. Mal stopped. " And don't pretend like you don't know what I'm talking about, or that it's not true. It doesn't take a psychic to notice how you and Inara feel about each other. I noticed in the cargo bay and I already want to tear my hair out. I can't imagine how it would be for the rest of the crew, or Inara."
Mal pointed at Julien and said, "Oh, danger. Oh, very danger. That is a long and complicated issue. And none of your business."
Julien put his arms up in surrender. "I guess I'll go unpack," he said as he headed towards the door.
"You do that," Mal said. After Julien left the room, Mal picked up the drink he had been pouring and threw it at the wall.
Leo and Julien sat in their room as they finished unpacking.
"It feels good to be active again," Julien mused. "Up and about, flying around."
"Mal's angry at you," Leo stated.
"Why am I not suprised?" Julien asked retorically.
"Because you've been around him for more than 10 minutes."
"Sometimes, you can be a real bitch," Julien said.
"I know you love it," Leo said as she started to climb the ladder out of the room.
"I'll bet you do."
Leo was getting acquainted with the co-pilot's chair up on the bridge when Mal walked in. "Where did you find this pilot," she asked him. "She's the best I've seen - ever."
River, who was sitting in the pilot's chair, smiled at that comment. She knew it was true.
"And you were right about your mechanic," Julien said from behind Mal. "I've never seen a firefly run on so little so well. She is, as you said, very genius."
"Aw, did you really say all that about me, Captain?" Kaylee asked following Julien onto the bridge.
"I did, but I ddn't come up here to start a round of praises," Mal said.
"Would there be crime afoot? River asked.
"I think you already know the answer, but yes there'd be crime afoot," Mal asked. "Ladies and menfolk, we have ourslves a job."
