I'm very much of the 'make it dark, make it grim, make it tough,' but then, for the love of God, tell a joke. -- Joss Whedon

Brenda: I've forgotten a lot of it now and it's only been a few weeks since I saw it.
Brenda: That's great it won some awards. I've heard of the Saturn award. I never bothered to see where it was filmed. Australia, huh. Never would have thought.
Brenda: More power to you and I'm glad you enjoyed it.
6ixStringJack: This is exactly up my alley and I'm glad I watched it. The type of movie I'll still be thinking about a week or two from now.
6ixStringJack: Turns out it won a few awards to. It won the sci-fi Saturn award (I think this year). The girl who played Lilly also won a best actress award, but not from one of the US shows. It was filmed in Australia, so maybe that was an Australian award, or it was one of the Indie award shows.
6ixStringJack: I thought it was great. I'm going to rewatch it a few times because I think even all the people doing retrospectives on the movie are still missing something.
Brenda: I know you could tell the low budget. But it didn't do anything for me. My curiosity got the better of me to watch it. But not again.
Brenda: Oh, I meant what was going to happen from then on. That's why I kinda fast forwarded to the end.
Brenda: No worries. These musicians go from when I was in elementary school through my high school years. That makes sense that you would like music that came out when you were in high school.
6ixStringJack: That was just weird enough to keep me engaged and on the edge of my seat most of the way through. Obviously low budget, but I like how it leaned into that. Without saying what specifically on my end yet, there were a few parts that seemed a little hokey to me while they were happening, but since I have no idea what I just watched, I don't even know if they actually happened or not.
6ixStringJack: Oh... Spoiler alert with Brenda's reply for that movie if anybody else is reading this.
6ixStringJack: But you're going to have to explain what you mean about figuring out Late Night With the Devil halfway through... I just gave that one a watch and I have no idea what I just watched and I kind of really liked it.
6ixStringJack: Okay. You bring up good examples. Lots of weird stuff too. I have a fondness for the time for sure, but maybe I just prefer the 90's because that's when I was in high school.
Brenda: Kiss was coming out in the 70s. Bryan Adams in the early 80s. So I heard both of them through high school. Journey too. Cher was still big too.
6ixStringJack: Too early for me. I grew up in the 80's but that was a weird time and the music doesn't do it for me. If it were the only choice though, I'd take it over the 2020s for sure. 70's too.
Brenda: Don't know what recent time I would go back too. Maybe the 70s.
6ixStringJack: If I could go back to the 90's and live there I would.
Brenda: If I could turn back time
THG:
6ixStringJack: "its" haha! I guess I gotta go to Apostrophe School with Ted. Too many TED-Talks here got me misusing apostrophes now too. Pretty soon I'll be using Tew wrong 2, and making posts about the Coal Minors. OPPS!
