There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

I watched this episode a couple of nights ago, and this is my first time watching Angel.

My question is this: Did Angel drink from Kate, or was that merely a ruse to save her from the bad guys? I realize her neck was scarred, but I was wondering if he maybe bit her, but did not drink her blood. I've only watched three episodes since then, and there has been no mention of that incident, even though Kate has appeared again.

He actually bit her, and I'm pretty sure he drankn her blood, even if it was just a bit. Remember the shroud made everyone a little wonky and even though Angel kinda knew what was going on I doubt he wouldn't have at least drank a little to get the blood flowing so it looked good. Also she seemed woozy afterwards. Just my thoughts

Kaylee: "Yes. One of them's a doctor."

Yeah, I was thinking that exact same thing.

So, he bit her, but didn't drink enough to kill her and didn't force her to drink. Hmmm....so does that make it bitus interruptus?

I guess the curse of the shroud was not as strong as we were led to believe. Either that or Angel was conscious enough of what was happening to not let it control him completely. The first time around it appeared he attacked her for real. It was only in the flashbacks to that scene where we heard him whisper the warning to her. He obviously had to have bitten her, hence the scars. It was the last flashback of the episode that really made me wonder though. It appeared that Angel was either remorseful over what he had done, or else depressed that he did not follow through with it.

Well, Angel does have experience with a malevolent force trying to control his actions. . .

I didn't mean that this was the first time for watching an Angel episode, just the first time for watching the series. I did not get into Buffy or Angel until after Firefly, but I am now going through both of those series via Netflix.

I have two more discs of Angel Season 2 to go then I will be getting Buffy Season 6.

Heh heh. I'm doing the exact same thing. I didn't watch much of either B or A before Firefly. Now,I'm doing the Netflix thing....more so w/ Angel than Buffy, at least right now. And I was doing Netflix, but just recently switched to Blockbuster. I swore I wouldn't, but I wanted to give it a shot, w/ BB being cheaper and the ability to check out xbox games.

I'm waiting for Season 3 now on Angel. While TNT is showing it now, I'm not always able to catch each episode, plus the extras are pretty cool too.

I think that episode is one of the worst in Angel. I really dislike it!

Nah it's good - DB goes a little over the top with his impersonation though I'll admit.

Personally, I love that episode. You have to go into it with the right frame of mind--it's a light, silly ep (well, except for the ending) after the more serious "Darla", right before the season begins taking a darker turn. If you're one of those people who only likes the dark, serious episodes, then obviously this one isn't for you.

The whole scene with Angel meeting J-Don's bus never fails to crack me up ... Cordy and Wes searching the museum ("Hello, plastic person!") ... "Is that Gunn? I never thought of him as the museum-type" ... "A cop with a mission: to rain on everyone's parade, and obsess about my father's death, and bother people who are about to steal things!"

But what do I know--I love "Beer Bad" on Buffy, too.

And yes, Angel really did bite and drink from Kate. Not enough to kill her, or even seriously hurt her--just enough to knock her out and convince that bad guys that she was a goner.
