The composer Arnold Schoenberg suffered from triskaidekaphobia. It is said that the reason his late opera is called Moses and Aron, rather than Moses and Aaron (the correct spelling with two As) is because the latter spelling has thirteen letters in it. He was born (and, it turned out, died) on the thirteenth of the month, and thought of this as a portent. He once refused to rent a house because it had the number 13, and feared turning 76, because its digits add up to thirteen. In an interesting story, it is believed that he feared Friday, July 13, 1951, as it was the first Friday the 13th of his 76th year. He reportedly stayed in bed that day preparing for what he thought as his death day. After begging her husband to wake up and "quit his nonsense," his skeptical wife was shocked when her husband simply uttered the word "harmony" and died. His time of death was 11:47 p.m., 13 minutes until midnight. Also, note that the digits of the time of his death add to 13 (1+1+4+7).

i've been calling him lockeness [sic] on occasion, or locke monster, haha (ness was a name i considered for him originally, name of main character in what's probably my favorite game of all time)

he's good, had to get him one of his shots the other day, but he didn't seem to mind...he's definitely getting bigger. he's been nipping lately, so I'm trying to train him to stop.

Ferrets get shots?

I didn't know that.

I guess it makes sense. Cats and dogs get shots. But I had hamsters and guinea pigs and they never got shots. I wonder if they should have?

I like Lockeness. that's a great name. I like to elongate names, weird habit of mine.

I need new ferret pictures! If he's getting bigger, I want to see!

I always do that too, 'cept I usually give them an add on name to make it up to three syllables.

Faye is Fay-baby, Kara, Kara-pops, Molly-moo and Zeausy-boy.

Of course, the fact that these are one very dignified cat and three extremely large dogs and I give them these stupidly infantile names has nothing to do with the small amusement factor afforded whilst shouting to them in the park (with Faye there is no shouting, I just know it drives her mad)

Some reason it just always has to be three syllables.

I make things long in a weird way. Faye would probably become something like Fayetteville or even LaFayetteville (which is a town near where my parents live.)

I call my friend JoAnna, whom everyone else calls "Jo", Josephina. And I call Emily, whom everyone else calls Em, Emiline. Let's see. Other nicknames I've come up with: HannahBanana, Sir Tomas (said in a Spanish accent) Frederick (said Freeee der ick)for "Freddie", Amos for "Amy". I refuse to call my friend Margaret Maggie or Marge or Meg, I call her Mar ga ret.

I would elongate everyone's names so much that they started calling me by my full name. First Middle Last.

Anyway. I am very sore today from roofing Saturday. It hurts to move. And I have a bruises tummy from leaning over with a belt buckle digging in my waist. That must be why I hate wearing belts so much.

My family has a nick-name disease. I my little brother's nickname is Pookers, my older brother is Dooboy, when I was a baby my nickname was Pollywog, though my name doesn't even come CLOSE to resembilng that.

I like to shorten names, and then double them. For example: I call Jaime at my work Jame-Jame. I also like double entendre names. I call my boy "Mr. E" because his first name is Eric, but it also sounds like "mystery".

Yay! it's time to play good news, bad news.
Good News : I just received my Bedlam Bards - On the Drift CD. and got it loaded on the computer to listen to.
Bad News : I went through all the CD/DVDs I made before I wiped my system clean and started over, and my "My Music" folder is nowhere to be found.
So I have to start from scratch reloading all my Music. On the upside, I might be able to load them as MP3s so if i ever get one of those mini MP3 players, I can just load them directly.
Well, Pooh. I hated going through and changing all the songtitles when folk didn't get things in the right order.
