Woooo! Back in the Black.

Had a weird Seren(dip)ity moment while the board was down. I went to buy a book at my local second-hand store, and there in the window, was a copy of 'The Killer Angels'! Which, being a US book, has been out of print over here for years. Don't know how it got to my little UK town, but I fell on it with glee.

SpaceAnJL, too tired from housework for dancing, curls up by the fire with her new book. (I've been trying to rationalize my bookshelves all day, and now my house looks like Foyles*. During a stock take...)

ed: Foyles. Determinedly eccentric London bookshop on Charing Cross Road. You can still find books with the original prices on - pre-decimal English, and once, Polish zlotys...

Mornin' Forsaken.

Good to have the site back, though I know it was running yesterday and possibly the day before, it's my first time back on it.

I won't be on the threads much this next week, owing to the fact that I have more stinking training and the comps we will be using do not have access to the internet. I'll miss you guys while I am learning how to use yet another tester system and trying not to fall asleep (the last time I had similar training I kept nodding off and still was the first one finished with the practice work).

I also wanted to encourage those of you who came in the temporary Chatzy chat (/choose Silee, Kaylee) to come join us in the FFF chat sometime. There are lots of shiny people in there that do not get on the message boards, and we are always glad to have more BrownCoats in there.

Y'all have a shiny day/week.

The pic comes from a season 4 episode - 'Who are You' - and the two witches in the picture (Willow and Tara) are performing a spell to find out what has posessed Buffy, Tara having sensed something wrong with her earlier. The spell involves Willow travelling to the neather realm to find Buffy's essence, and is the most powerful and intense spell the pair have tried so far in the show.

They're also in love, but you don't find that out for sure for a couple of more episodes

The spell is a ~huge~ clue though. It also looks very pretty!

Family. Season 5. I love that episode too! I watched it the other day simply because I had a cold and was feeling grotty, and that episode always makes me smile. Watched a couple of season 4 eps back to back too. People rag on season 4, but watching Something Blue, Hush and Doomed in a row really gives me the giggles.

This weekend was kid intensive for me...

Sunday morning I taught Religious Exploration class to a group of 6th to 8th graders, then went over to Tina's house and watched 10 kids while she taught a fused glass class, and then we went to a SpiralScouts meeting where I was in charge of 17 kids on a nature walk through the woods.

Thank the Gods it's Monday, and I can come into work and relax!

Actually, SPACE: Above and Beyond had an episode by Glen Morgan and James Wong, "Who Monitors the Birds?" where Cooper Hawks is on a mission alone in Chig territory, and there is virtually no dialog. It was one of the best episodes of the series, IMHO.

There's an episode of Two Guys a Girl and a Pizza Place ( starrring our beloved Nathan) with absolutely no dialog only music ( instrumental at that) and it is one of the funniest things I have ever seen. I taped it for oru drama teacher to use when she talks about physical comedy.
