Scouser is just a name, like cockney is for Londoners.

Chav is species of sub human and an insult.

No, it was originally the name for anyone who was born within earshot of st Pauls, but has since expanded to anyone who sounds nothing like Dick Van Dyke trying to be 'Cockanay' and use rhyming slang.

I fell down the Apple and Pears trying to answer the blessed Dog and Bone because the Trouble and Strife was calling about the Isle of Skye so I thought I'd come down the Rub-A-Dub for a Roger Starling.

Be fair. Judging by the accents used the BBC thinks all americans are from Texas.

Silver. Silver is a magic metal, it exists in all dimensions or something so can kill any supernatural creature, Zombies, Werewolves, Vampires, Pixies (especially pixies), Pamela Anderson...

Actually, silver is dangerous to night-walkers because it sympathizes with the moon (while gold sympathizes with the sun). Since the moon merely reflects sunlight and has no light/power of its own, it's a symbolic parallel for the undead (who "reflect" life, but have none of their own). Living beings (faerie, spirits, dragons, humans, etc) draw their energy from the sun, either directly or indirectly.

Technically, silver bullets don't kill werewolves, they disrupt the spirit that inhabits the body and makes it a wolf --causing the were to revert to human form. It's the fact that it's a bullet that kills the human.

Organic matter (wood, bone, chitin, hardened flesh or hair) can kill a vampire by piercing its heart --this is because organic tissue can carry an etheric charge (this is what makes it "alive"). The charge disrupts the vampire's own, and "poof" goes the vamp.

Zombies are basically poor-man's vampires: they're animated by an etheric "shell" (whereas a vampire is animated by an astral being controlling the still-functional body). Put another way: a zombie is like someone pushing a (stolen) car, while a vampire is like someone driving a stolen car. They're like ghosts with a chewy corpse-y centre. Disrupt the spirit and the body just collapses.

(And, for the record, it's not "brains" they're after, these spirits are predatory; they feed on the spirits [or souls, in the case of vampires] of their victims. Incarnate spirits are just much richer and more developed than anything disembodied or available on the astral plane.)

Silver doesn't work on the fay or "living" (non-astral) spirits --for that you need either iron (being meteoric, iron doesn't carry an etheric charge [which is inherent to Earth], so it disrupts any etheric field it passes through), crystals (which affect etheric fields like magnets affect computers), or mystical weapons. The iron has to be pure; no alloys.

Oh, and just blessing water might not be enough. True Holy Water has to be salty --the dissolved crystals impart their disruptive properties. You can also soak a religious artifact in the water (while blessing it), to similar effect (the artifact serves as a sort of mystical "tea-bag," so the resulting "tea" absorbs its spiritual energy).

It depends who's Folk law you perscribe to. Silver can be aligned to the moon, but some say the Human soul which is why it kills supernatural creatures.

Incidentally Silver killing Werewolves isn't true folk law, it was first introduced in some film in the 1940's.

Not really. People throughout Europe have wildly different national idetic accents, languages and culture, where as the US is one nation with one national language and no more regional variation in accent than anyother nation.

Sunnydale, the fictional town in which Buffy Summers (etc.) fought against the things which gravitated there due to the Hellmouth beneath the town.
I don't know. Many launguages are spoken here. perhaps we don't have an official language, just one that used to be more prevelant. English is the language taught in most schools as a primary language.
We never officially declared war on the countries that Citizen mentioned. We fought there, but we never officially declared war on them.

I wish there was time to know everything too. But there's not. So I know a lot about a few things that interest me, and a good bit about things I need to know to get by, and as much as I can about the things that people I care about are interested in, so I can engage them in conversation. The rest I try to ignore until it falls into one of those catagories.

I always find a bright, smily 'Well, I never knew that' or 'well you learn something new everyday' followed by a quick retreat and a few minutes on google works well.

Mind you, i have the added advantage of being able to blame it on dyslexia - I often find i actually did know it (I swear my brain squirrals information away behind my back, god knows what its planning to do with it) but couldn't quite grasp it when i needed to, so someone will tell me and i'll be sat there think I knew that! course i did, what the...? but then, thank fully, its stuck there.

my, how i waffle.

Giiiiiir!

you know, i seriously regret falling asleep when that was on, as thinking of it and grinning.

Yes, Brain Squirrals, highly amusing, like my brothers Brain Ducks. (the theory goes that his mind is like one of those games at the fairground where you have to hook the ducks and your prize is whats written underneath. 'Cept, in his, everything he knows is written on their bums, and the more awake he is, the more sticks he has hooking them, so he has more chance of finding the right one.
If he's tired theres only one stick, and most of the ducks have nothing but MONKEYS!!!!!! written on their butts)

He's a wierdo my brother. But very amusing.
