Super heroes and Super villains are pretty much exactly the same thing. It's just one set gets comic books written about them, and the other has comics written against them.

I mean seriously, all super heroes are vigilante b*****ds meting out their personal idea of 'justice'. They dodge real justice and arrest by those the people have designated (i.e. the police) because, well, how the hell do you arrest Superman, and how do you build a prison to hold him.

It's a case of absolute power corrupting absolutely, Superman needs to be stopped, as does his crazed dictatorially attack on civil liberties.

Exactly. But think about it. Lex provides Jobs for thousands of people, Superman sits atop his high horse judging people.

What use is that?

How does that make him any different from any other buisnessman? He was supermans 'enemy' because 'superman' got pissy because Lex copped off with Lois Lane.

He just couldn't handle that Lois preffered Lex so set out to destroy him in a fit of childish revenge.

(In the post-Crisis continuity, that's how Krypto got his name; Bibbowski ordered a doggie tag for his puppy, but they charged extra for more than 6 letters.)

Clark: Lois I know you think I'm just a typical, but slighty cute nerd boy named Clark, but there is something I have to tell you.

Lois: It's ok I already have it figured out all on my own Clark and none of that matters. I know your true identity and I am madly in love with...

Clark: Lois? What's wrong?

Lois: Are those my tights?

I don't think it was so much that Lois preferred Lex over Superman. It was just annoying to her that he was too much of a tightwad to go and buy his own undergarments.

Mark! Hello dear, I wondered when you would find your way here.

Just do what Serenity said, fix yourself a drink and make yourself comfy.

(and you will be required for pillow duty, so get practicing)

Edit - ok, so i really should have learned my lesson by now about reading to the end of the thread before answering - dammit, that was the wittiest thing i've come up with for weeks.

Besides, naming a child Boron would just be cruel.

Guffaw! ROFL! Snort! (And so forth).

However, naming one's offspring Carbon seems appropriate. Perhaps more so with tacking on the middle name Based. Although it strikes me that there's too good a chance of the name being shortened for day-to-day purposes as CB, which just brings up too many memories of horrid non-disco tunes I was subject to during my own childhood.

What's wrong with Carbon? Seems to me to be a cool enough name. At least for a male person, I would think. Sounds kinda manish to my ears. Flows easily off of the tongue, and doesn't have anything that I can detect in the way of English language based embarrassing parallels.

Well, I think there's a kiddie show/ movie about some girl called Xenon (though it may be spelled Zenon). I've seen the last names Gold, and Mercury (as in Freddie), and my Grandmother's name was Goldie (like Hawn).... perhaps you could use Selenium, as long as you only called her "Selene".
I don't recommend Barium.

Selenium, which, to the best of my knowledge, occurs as a natural mineral in parts of South America, nowhere in North America, and seldom anywhere else, turns out to be a mineral well designed to prevent heart troubles.

Vitaman E is a vital component in the human body's ability to absorb Selenium.

I'm all for the strong of heart.

see, it's funny how the thing i remember the most is David Duchovneys butt pressed up against the windscreen, and Orlando whatisfaces impassioned cry of "theres always time for lubricant!'

(not connected in any way i hasten to add - its not that kind of film...)

I think basically inside this very girly exterior there lurks one of those small boys who sniggers at the word 'bottom'.

Or maybe not.

Over one the show off your weapons thread they're already counting down the days to D*C.

Thanks for reminding me Seryn, dear. I'm currently covering the eyelets of the corset so they'll last longer. Plus, apparently, I like torturing myself.

I want to get it dry cleaned before I wear it again. Any suggestions? I'm terrified of dry cleaners and I'm worried they're going to ruin it, yet it has some smudginess on the back I want removed. Not sure where it's from.

And, don't tempt me! Or I'll be requesting a 2nd corset for D*C next year. Maybe a different era.

Ack! I think of everything in terms of Jayne hats now and another corset is a good 10 Jayne hats. But, it's a good idea for you! Have you had any requests for corsets? Cuz, yours were the BEST of all the corsets at the corsety panel! You are the seamstress goddess!

Yup, currently trying to develop a waist cincher style one, but trying to make them suitable for daywear (i.e trying to remove the kinky overtones) so i'm making one in red cord that looks like like its button over (like a coat front or something) and another with pintucking and pleating on each panel in white shirt cotton.

I've also got a tonne of silk neck scarve from second hand shops which i'm going to try and ruch and make into panels.

The experimentings going to be fun.

Argh!

As for dry cleaners, try going to one that regularly deals with theatres, they'll havew the most experience with corsets, phone you're local theatre and ask them where they go.

Oh! This'll cheer Tristan up as well, tomorrow is the anniversary of the Battle of Agincourt, and (according to my boss) it's our patriotic duty to stick two fingers up at any french people we see.

I reckon that can be spread to any one we suspect of being french, or not even suspect, just so we can stick two fingers up at anyone who annoys us.
