Okay, new thread.

Old one is at http://www.fireflyfans.net/thread.asp?b=2&t=25104

So, who's first today?

If you find yourself getting too worked up about stuff that isn't real (RP Threads etc), then go outside, breathe in some fresh air and try feeding the ducks. (Because ducks don't care about your politics, religion, skin colour, choice of music or even your haircut. They like everyone, provided you bring them food.)

And yes, I realise this is in the wrong section, but I felt like a change of scenery.

Evening All. Yes, we do a lot of talking, so I guess the "Talk Story" thread is the appropriate place for us.

Nico, I do like change, so thanks for starting us in a different spot.

I just finished watching my favorite BDH on Lost. Did anyone else catch the show? I was delighted with one of Nathan's first lines, "Wanna get it on?" , Yes! I want to get it on! He is so darn fine!

Any thoughts on this from the major/minor/occasional contributers?

I'm conflicted. I don't know. It would be nice to have one thread, but sometimes you feel like drinking and hanging out, and sometimes you want to chat and ponder. Would the drinking bother the imponderers? Or would all of the impondering put the drinkers to sleep?

But for the duration of that thread, it would mean only one long thread that people would need to wait during the long loading time, rather than two long threads.

As for the Imponderables being added to the pub, I like the idea of loading only one thread instead of two, though they don't take long for me either way. If they are combined, cool, if not, it won't bother me.

You guys have a good day pondering things. After 7:30am EST I will not be around for the rest of the day, and tomorrow is a day off (Veterans Day I think), so I might not be back until Monday. Stay shiny y'all!

Thanks for the best wishes and the compliments Magda

I'd thought about using that image as an avatar for a while, so when instructions were posted on how to add a custom avatar I jumped at the chance :) I decided I'd make an animated banner to match it. I'll probably change the banner a little though. I'd like a different image for each piece of text. I'll keep the avatar.

While we're on the subject, I notice your own avatar matches your particularly wonderful animated banner! Whoever made that banner must be very talented. And creative. And I bet she's pretty.

Good morning, ponderers!

I have a quick one...there have been a few people I have not seen in awhile...DeepGirl, EmmaRigby, BSCPantherfan...anyone know where they are? PM's either don't work or they aren't answering them.

Nico, I like the change of scenery...confused me at first, but I like it!

McQ, that performance rates a standing ovation! Nice work!

Magda! Morning, qing ren! And yes, I do notice the changes...that's one thing I always enjoy observing.

VerseExplorer! I am going to guess it's another lovely day out there, eh? *sigh* I do miss the sunrises.

Nico, I, personally, would like to keep this thread as it is. We can drink in one place, and ponder in another.

RIMG, along the lines of the "rocket science" thing, take into consideration that I am a costumer in my spare time...properly fitting women requires patience, lots of measurements (hehehe), and then more patience. No two are built the same, and those breasts can sometimes cause major headaches when trying to get something to fit properly. But, I still enjoy it.

Hi, there, Penguin! Have you not seen the lovely Magda's pictures? Mercy me!

Morning, Mavourneen! Yes, the female Browncoats are a healthy, healthy bunch...and the male Browncoats love y'all for it!

Do I mind the thread-hopping? Nope, been doing that myself, too. That's why I still think keeping them separate is the way to go.

DTH! Aww, poor thing! *offers her a box of kleenex* You going to survive?

PR! Can't see your shoes?

Ok, more coffee and I'll be back...

Morning all:)

Wow bra sizes...there's a ponderable for you:)
In case you just have to know I'm a 32DD which based on the explaination means my ribcage measures 29 and my bust measures 39. To make it worse, the rest of me could ( and does) fit in junior( kids) clothing... hugs to all the girls( though with all of our bust sizes, someone might suffocate) I can't wait to get together at D*C next year...we can have the all boob review!!!

Hey here's a new ponder. Most people say sense of humor is most important ( or near the top) in a mate...so do you have to have similar senses of humor( that seems incorrect grammatically, but I'm not sure how to fix it) or is any sense of humor ok???

Edit- Oh and I posted new Annie and Wyatt pics in the blue sun room:)

Me? Chasing you, DTH? Now why would I have done something like that?

Morning, MSG!
Ooh, good ponder! A sense of humor is very important in general. I don't think it's necessary for a couple to find the exact same things amusing, but they should have enough "funnies" in common that they can share the experiences.

It WAS you!!! Chasing me when I went to leave the board! As for why you chased me, I don't know! I thought I was getting mugged again. Come to think of it... you were yelling about someone teasing you... and handling something...

That's a good ponder MSG. Like Tristan says, I'd want to be able to share the joke, so some similarities at least would help. I know I'd get very bored very quickly if my significant other only enjoyed crude, gross out toilet humour. That's never done much for me.

Humor? Yes, it's good to find the same kinds of things funny. I've also found that it's best not to talk about it too much and just laugh. I've been with people who would laugh and then go "Oh that was so funny because..." and it kind of spoils the moment. Does that make sense?
I have a wide and varied sense of humor, I like lots of different things. I think dry wit is my favorite, but I also like Kevin Smith movies, so...

*slaps self hard*

Whew. That was a close one.

-Sense of humor is vital to a healthy relationship. I don't think it has to be similar, just compatible. Husband & I laugh all the time. I don't think I could be with someone with little or no sense of humor. Things get pretty silly in my house sometimes and I wouln't have it any other way.

I agree with you Mavourneen - I love seeing toddlers too! I don't have a tidbit but when you spend time with your friends' kids it can make you a bit broody. I find offering to look after them helps helps! After a few hours of uninterrupted time with a toddler you want to hand them back to their parents! I think babysitting wild toddlers is a must for any would-be parent. They should have babysitting classes in schools.

RUGBUG

Mornin' All,

Just poppin' in real quick to say howdy. I really need to get a computer and internet connection at home so I can play more.

Let's see: bras...I'm afraid I'm going to bring the average Imponderable size down quite a bit. 34-36B. Works for me...although it was embarrassing when I realized I had purchased a new bikini...from the little girls department. It ended up on the women's rack somehow and was real cute. I couldn't believe it was an XL as it wasn't huge and I normally where a medium.... Heheee. Busty I am not.

Combining Imponderables and the Pub? Please no. I've never been in the Pub...mostly because it started as a Forsaken thread. I'm all for tossing one back, but not so much for dancing in pyres, etc. And to tell you the truth, I'm not a *Rugbug orders a whiskey, surveys the room and tosses it back* type of internet poster. That becomes a lot like RPG and I'm not into that. In fact, when it gets like that here, I stop "reading" and just start scanning. Just not my thing. So there are my two cents. Take it how you will.

I think I missed first love talk. I've never been in love. Close once but he's now married to my best friend from college, well former best friend.

There was something else I missed, but I'm blanking. Oh well. Have fun and hopefully things will slow down some at work.
