100% Mortgage? It means I get a mortgage to cover the whole cost of the property instead of having a deposit. Or something else?

This is it:

I haven't got enough saved for a deposit yet, and house prices are going up by £1000 a month on average, so getting a 100% mortgage now may be cheaper than waiting till later.

There's two in that building. The other one is £132,000 and is weird with a capital W. It's got two front doors, one of which opens into the bedroom, a really nice hallway that runs the length of it with hard wood floors, but for some bizarre reason the Kitchen is at the end of the hallway.

The other one is at the front, it's the one you can see the outside of from the picture. It's carpeted, got a big bedroom (two windows too the left of the picture) and a lounge/kitchen (two windows to the right). I prefer that one, it's bigger and cheaper too.

ooooh, house hunting!

It looks like a really nice building in a pretty area, and it sounds really nice from your description too, but why have you gone for somewhere so far outside of London?

Isn't sanity really a one trick pony, anyway? I mean all you get is one trick, rational thinking! But when you're good and crazy...ooh hoo hoo hoo... the skys the limit!

I've looked at Coulsdon, Purley, Sutton places like that, but they're all either s**t holes or way too expensive. I could sell this on, which is what I'm also thinking about, and it's a nice area. I'm looking at Redhill as well, it's only an extra stop on the train from where I am now. I used to go to school there so I know the area, but theres nothing as good there that I've seen.

As for moving to Ireland, it may make my daily commute to central London a little difficult, and expensive.

Yes, but as I just found out via a conversation with my supiriours if I choose to move further away I may be expected to pay the difference or make a contribution. Which sounds pretty unfair to me, since others live further away but since I used to live closer they treat me differently. I somehow doubt if I moved closer they'd let me pocket the difference.

How many years have you been at this job?

Couldn't you just stay there for 3 years and then find something else, to get your time in?

My best friend is having the same problem. She's getting her doctorate in psychology but can't find a job anywhere that doesn't want something ridiculous like 5 years experience. I say, between all her jobs and her intership and practicum and all that, she's had far more than that. But, of course, they only count the experience AFTER you get your degree.

I've actually just been looking on CW Jobs, there's loads I could do, a subset of which I could get because I can prove I can do them on paper, and none, so far, I'd want to do.

Truth be known I'd don't want to do my current job, the works okay and I like the people I work with, it's just not what you might call fullfilling. The only reason I'm still there is because I get a lot of time to do whatever the hell I like and be paid for it, but that's starting to change and they're heaping loads of extra paper work on me, which I hate. Lack of paper work was one of the reasons I was attracted to this job in the first place, now that's all changing.

The thing that really gets to me is that the jobs that take some brains and creativity, like programming, unless you're head programmer don't pay fantastically well. But monkey work like data modelling (I found it pretty easy, if incredibly boring at Uni) pay big bucks.

So, if anyone's got the winning national lottery ticket I promise to put you all up in my mansion and we can make money in our spare time making Firefly episodes.
