I know this is fireflyfans.net but I've noticed a lot of Monty Python-isms floating around. So this is my little who all is a monty pyton fan.

How about you put your favorite ep or line or song or something and just for fun what country your from.

Mine would be:
Twit Olympics, Dead Parrot, and Lumberjack song.
USA

"Go back inside or i will blow another crater in this tiny moon"

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

I've been a Python fan a long, long time. KERA in Dallas was the first American station to run it, so I got in on the lunacy as early as anybody other than in England.

It's difficult to say which would be my favorite bit, but right off the top of my head I will say the "wink, wink, nudge, nudge, say no more" skit.

I know every word to every song from every movie and skit they ever made. In Catholic school as a kid, we used to sing "Every Sperm is Sacred" all the time. Nuns - not necessarily the best audience for that one. Who knew?

Perhaps you noticed that I posted my favourite Monty Python song, the Money song. Terry Gilliam's accountant sketch in The Meaning Of Life was also superb. Of course, being Canadian, the Lumberjack song is also a favourite!

That's one of the few episodes I've seen! "What about a pointed stick?" Which leads me to a saying from a Magic card that my friend told me (Because I don't play Magic):

"A stick is your friend. A pointed stick is your good friend. An army of pointed sticks is your best friend."

I was at an amusement park, and I say a kid with a shirt on that had a picture of the Black Knight (minus the arms), saying: "It's only a flesh wound!"

in 1996 the Monty Python crew put together a couple of computer games that are designed for Windows 95 (they run fine on Windows 98, which my laptop has, but I haven't been able to load it onto my desktop that has XP).

It is a VERY silly game, it makes you sit through scene after scene ad nauseum...and click over and over and over again for no reason or purpose... I love it!

I had had the game back in 1998 but a friend lost it (grrrr argh), and then I had the brilliant idea to look for it on eBay, and sure enough someone was selling it for only $5!

There is a second game, which is even sillier (and which I didn't miss as much) called 'Monty Python's Complete Waste of Time' that is also out there...somewhere. But neither one is still for sale thru their websites:

www.pythonline.com

I hope that helps!

I had a Desktop Monty Python thing. You could download sounds and stuff and make it play when you did things (like when you closed the box it would say "and now for something compleatly differnt")

is that what your talking about? or is it some other thing?

I think that that was bundled into the package of 'A Complete Waste of Time'
but the 'Holy Grail' game is actually a game...
you go from scene to scene collecting junk in your inventory, and you pursue the quest:

you get killed by the killer rabbit (but you get a second chance...and a third and a fourth...LOL)

You get to hack the arms & legs off of the Black Knight
You get to spank the Virgins at Anthrax
You get to play a form of tetris which involves plague victims in a mass grave...

eventually you come to the Bridge of Death
where you die
but you get a second chance...

and when you FINALLY win the game you get the Holy Grail (more or less)

It is very silly and I really enjoy it, so I do recommend it!

Thought of one. Anyone mention "The Bishop"? Whenever "The Bishop" is said, it starts all over. And the apology afterward:

And the "How to Protect Yourself from Different Fruits" bit. "What about a pointed stick?"
