Hey guys, I'm a big Fan of Firefly and Serenity. I belong to the Site finding serenity, a play by post RPG, and i watch the show...a lot. Or at least the Re-runs. I'm posting here because i need some help, i just started a site, and it's not firefly. It's a spy espionage site, and I've tried every possible way to advertise this thing and we only have 15 people. I'm not sure what else i can do. Any suggestions?

Thanks, The site is Spy Games Unlimited, I don't know if the hyper link will work when i put the site in here so you may have to copy and past it into the address box. It's essentially a Spy/espionage site. We're still working on missions and such, but you can join MI6 or the CIA, once we get enough people we're expanding it to other places like China, Russia, Japan, just a lot of other countries haha. It just started so I can't really tell you much more. We don't have a lot of action because missions are still being created but I know it's going to be a sweet site.

Hello Helena and welcome to the board.

I looked at your website and thought I might give a few reactions and a few suggestions.

My Reactions:

Upon entering your site, all I knew was that it was about spy games and it had a forum.
I didn't know if it was about spy video games, spy RPG games or a book called Spy Games Unlimited.
Once I went through some of the forum, I determined that it was some sort of game, but I still don't know what kind of game.

My Suggestions:

Perhaps including something in the title about the game. Like "Spy Games Unlimited: An Forum Based Spy Adventure"
(OK, maybe something better than that. My imagination is not cooperating)

I would also suggest a pinned thread with a really exciting overview of the game. This thread should get people that have an interest in the concept excited enough to join up.

I hope my long winded post helps a little.

because I think there was a character named something like Helena Cane on BSG 'Razor', or am I mixing up two different names into one character?

If you like spy/political thriller you might want to look at Star Trek: Deep Space 9 again, because that had a lot of that kind of intrigue going for it.

and buy the 'Serenity' comics published by Dark Horse,

and I highly recommend Joss Whedon's 'Serenity: The Official Visual Companion' which has more in the scrip than made it to the screen (so it is a VERY fun read)
besides it has story boards, drawings by the costume and set designers, and lots of production memos which are must reads (really reveal everything Joss wants in this film, and how patiently he feels about it all).

haha yea there was, i had never watched galactica before that. I was trying to figure out a character name and i came up with Helena and someone else came up with Cain, apparently they've seen galactica.
