You think you know--what's to come, what you are. You haven't even begun.

Time for a new addition to the ongoing saga of Browncoat purdyness!

If you're so inclined, please post a picture of yourself so we can all see who we talk to here

Please try to avoid very large images that stretch and break the thread.

How to post images here: http://www.fireflyfans.net/mthread.asp?b=5&t=29479
(Short version: Image must be hosted somewhere on the internet and all you need is the URL. Photobucket, imageshack, and flickr are your friends. See above-linked thread for further details, or click 'reply with quote' to see how others have done it.)
Also, PLEASE NOTE: the tutorial thread is an excellent resource and we don't want it to get overloaded and weighed down. Please test your image posts in one of the many 'test' threads scattered over the board, particularly out of the way in troll country, or start your own to help keep the tutorial nice and easy to load.

Most recent picture thread: http://www.fireflyfans.net/mthread.asp?b=11&t=36345

Index of all past picture threads and sub-picture threads: http://www.fireflyfans.net/mthread.asp?b=11&t=27728

As usual, I'll kick things off

Post, comment, chat, have fun!

(Thanks Steamer!)

Oh, look, a train pic!

Gotta polish those drawbars. (Yeesh, it's been years now since my hair was that short.)

I suspect I have not posted in the pics threads, largely because a thread full of red Xs does not thrill me to the bone.
However, in this thread of red Xs, steamer has posted a bunch of pics. I mention this because his are hosted by myspacecdn and so apparently that might be another hosting site for those who are interested.

...Myspace isn't really a hosting site, per se. I mean, you can upload images of course, and it's possible to get to their url and so images can be posted here from there, but that's not really its purpose. kinda thought everyone would know that.
I don't understand why your computer would post everything as a red x. Perhaps time for a new computer and/or browser if nothing displays correctly.

Well, then....this....is a day it'll feel good to be me. (Usually I try to separate fandom from work as best I can since the former is infinitely more fun, but since I just converted a guy I work with, it's a little tricksier now. )

Trust me Steamer, You do not want me singing. All those nice windows in the front of the 7 Barrels would shatter.... Not good

Closest I think I could do to singing and not hurt people would be Elwood Blues part of 'Soul man'.

And the thing is, My mom was a trained operatic mezzo soprano and my dad played guitar and sang in a country band.

I can't sing and I tried to learn the guitar... wasn't pretty.

Yes, it's an Ovation. I am a bit of a guitar junkie and that is my Acoustic/Electric Ovation. I have an old hand made 12 string that doesn't go outside EVER and a straight Acoustic Ovation for camping and what not. I would like another (another hobby of mine is Civil War Reenacting and I would dearly love a period correct guitar for performing there) but my wife of 30 years has suggested we get the kids through college first ;-)

You know, it was funny. The young lady is the daughter of my cousin and is the oh so cool teenager you describe. When she went home, she told her dad (my cousin) that she had a great time and why didn't they come earlier (it was a three day family reunion and they showed up for just the last day). You never would have guessed from the way she carried on.

The young man is my son and he was actually doing back up harmony ;-) He is the only true base in his high school choir and loves to sing. (Note the paternal pride ;-)
