The first dip was NAFTA (Clinton), the second (much larger) dip was China's accession into the WTO (Bush).

It's obvious - or it should be- where our manufacturing jobs went, and what caused that to happen. It you want to reverse the trend, you have to at least reverse the trade agreements that caused it to happen. If you can't do THAT (China in WTO), at least don't make it worse by signing on to more of the same.

Oh shit! I can't believe she did that! She totally forgot where she was for a split and gave the Nazi salute, caught herself and then tried to play it off by stretching her arm out with a finger point as cover.

The Nazi Party is alive and well in this country. FuuuuuuUUUUUUUUUUCK!!!
I always thought that it was an urban legend until now. The Pod people have
infiltrated the U.S. government, and now it wants to take over.

Watch out for wolves in sheep's clothing.

Do you see the trend where employment in American manufacturing goes down and American production goes up? That’s why factory jobs are lost.

Trump (and Bernie) think they can screw the rest of the world’s manufacturers and create millions of American factory jobs for free, except for tariffs which Trump (and Bernie) think they can one-sided-ly impose on the world without the world imposing tariffs back on America. If Trump knows how to do this magic trick, he has to show how, not next year when his is President, that he can make the arithmetic work in favor of the USA and manufacturing employment. But that lazy, fat bastard has NOT done the work.

Trump is selling you a myth about American manufacturing and employment. There is two sure ways to double factory employment – hire people and only work them 20 hours a week for 40 hours pay. Or make factory workers half as productive and continuing to get less productive, year after year. But that will cost money and Trump is only selling a solution that costs nothing.

Donald Trump considers America at odds with virtually the entire world, but not Russia. His Top Ten List of positions toward Russia is basically Vladimir Putin's dream foreign policy. Donald Trump is offering Putin everything he could possibly want. And what does Trump want in return? From Russia—and only from Russia—Trump wants nothing.

1.) Trump wants to reduce America's commitment to NATO and reorient its activities to the Middle East. This is perhaps Vladmir Putin's greatest foreign policy desire.

2.) Says America has no moral standing to complain about human and civil rights violations.

3.) Welcomed Russia's incursion into Syria.

4.) Considers Putin a great leader.

5.) Would consider eliminating sanctions against Russia and recognizing their annexation of Crimea.

6.) Wants to weaken American ties to its allies by insisting that he will walk away from them unless they pay us more for our military protection.

7.) Never mentions Russia in his otherwise endless litany of countries that are taking advantage of the USA.

8.) Opposes sending arms to Ukraine.

9.) Is pro-Brexit.

10.) Isn't sure he would defend the Baltics if Russia attacked them.

Trump’s list is not a coincidence. There's something behind the scenes guiding him. But what?

Throughout his news conference on Wednesday, Trump returned again and again to the idea that America’s strained relations with Russia are based solely on the Russian president’s supposed lack of respect for America’s leaders — and not, say, differences over Russia’s support for separatist rebels in Ukraine or its intervention against U.S.-backed rebels in Syria. Trump even claimed at one stage that he had heard Putin use a racial slur to describe President Barack Obama.

“Right now, we don’t have a good relationship,” Trump said of the U.S. and Russia. “Putin has said things over the last year that are really bad things, okay? He mentioned the N-word one time. I was shocked to hear him mention the N-word. You know what the N-word is, right? He mentioned it. I was shocked.”

Although there is no chance that this ever happened — since there are no published reports of such an explosive public statement and Trump stressed again that he has never met Putin — the Republican presidential nominee was in no doubt as to who was to blame for such an (entirely imaginary) affront: Obama himself.

“He has a total lack of respect for President Obama,” Trump said of Putin. “Number one, he doesn’t like him. And number two, he doesn’t respect him. I think he’s going to respect your president if I’m elected. And I hope he likes me.”

As value produced goes up in the 9 year period between 1992 and 2001, jobs hold steady. Jobs and value both dip in the 2001 recession, jobs continue to decline in 2003 as value holds steady, jobs level off between 2004 and 2008 as value zooms upward, then jobs and value decline in 2009, and value recovers afterward while jobs hold steady.

Jobs and value both decline during recessions, but value recovers while jobs don't.

That's a decision made by employers to increase profits by squeezing workers.

Let me just point out that the author left out vital relevant facts in the opinion piece. Doing that is known as cherry-picking. And whether you do that in the news, in discussion, in debate or in opinion, when you distort the facts, you've changed the nature of your communication into propaganda. Per usual, Signym and 1kiki are full of it.

Damn, I always forget to make it explicit: Please tell us one more time, Signym and 1kiki, that Trump, the great disruptor, will bring back millions of American manufacturing jobs. All he will need do is change a few tariff laws and it will be a nearly cost-free way to create jobs, despite manufacturing needing fewer people every year because factories are more efficient every year and are producing more output than ever before and yet needing fewer and fewer employees on the assembly line.

Signym and 1kiki really need to get over the daydream that factory owners love and want to care for their employees in the USA. The employees wish it was true because their lives and their families depend on the job, while factory-owners depend on employees believing it is true so they can keep the factory running, but it has never been that way.

You need an example: Exxon-Mobile is building a multibillion dollar ethylene plant in Baytown and adding 350 people to its factory on Houston Ship Channel. It wasn't done to create 350 factory jobs to support local families, but to take advantage of cheap natural gas. There was never a factory built to create jobs. Jobs are just a side-effect like smoke from stacks and factory waste hauled to the dump. I've NEVER met a factory worker who did not hope they were important to the functioning of the factory, since their entire income depends on the factory, nor have I met one that actually was of more than minor importance to the factory owner. The owners always have a plan for replacing employees that believe they, not the owner, are irreplaceable. It's just that the owners don't tell the employees about the plans, just like the owners didn't tell the employees how the factory was financed.

Donald Trump’s Ghostwriter Tells All
www.newyorker.com/magazine/2016/07/25/donald-trumps-ghostwriter-tells-
all

“The Art of the Deal” made America see Trump as a charmer with an unfailing knack for business. Tony Schwartz helped create that myth—and regrets it.

It wasn’t because of Trump’s ideology—Schwartz doubted that he had one. The problem was Trump’s personality, which he considered pathologically impulsive and self-centered.

Schwartz thought about publishing an article describing his reservations about Trump, but he hesitated, knowing that, since he’d cashed in on the flattering “Art of the Deal,” his credibility and his motives would be seen as suspect. Yet watching the campaign was excruciating. Schwartz decided that if he kept mum and Trump was elected he’d never forgive himself. In June, he agreed to break his silence and give his first candid interview about the Trump he got to know while acting as his Boswell.

“I put lipstick on a pig,” he said. “I feel a deep sense of remorse that I contributed to presenting Trump in a way that brought him wider attention and made him more appealing than he is.” He went on, “I genuinely believe that if Trump wins and gets the nuclear codes there is an excellent possibility it will lead to the end of civilization.”

If he were writing “The Art of the Deal” today, Schwartz said, it would be a very different book with a very different title. Asked what he would call it, he answered, “The Sociopath.”

Mark Zandi, now the chief economist at the private research firm Moody's Analytics, has forecast that the Republican presidential nominee's policies would put almost 3.5 million Americans out of work after four years.

Zandi first shared a preliminary version of his analysis with The Washington Post in March, and he and his colleagues released a more comprehensive report last month.
www.economy.com/mark-zandi/documents/2016-06-17-Trumps-Economic-Polici
es.pdf

Besides the millions who would be out of work, the report states that the economy would be miss out on an additional 6 million positions that employers would have created in the absence of Trump's policies.

A major reason the forecast is so pessimistic is because of Donald Trump's policies on trade. He has proposed a 45 percent tariff on Chinese imports and a 35 percent tariff on some imports from Mexico.

While Trump hopes that these tariffs would encourage manufacturers to produce domestically, forcing them to hire American workers, Zandi and his colleagues note that China and Mexico would probably retaliate with tariffs of their own, punishing U.S. exporters and their employees. The report projects that U.S. exports would decline by $85 billion.

Some economists have challenged the Zandi's assumptions, including J.W. Mason of the the liberal Roosevelt Institute. Mason argues that manufacturers in China and Mexico, not U.S. consumers, would pay most of Trump's tariffs -- in other words, prices for consumers would not increase as much. He also argues that domestic producers would be able to make up for more of the foregone imports, reducing unemployment.

Zandi's report additionally faulted Trump's proposal to deport all immigrants living in the country illegally, which would reduce the size of the labor force, making it more expensive to produce goods here and further increasing prices for consumers.

Also, the report noted that although Trump's generous tax reductions would encourage Americans to work more and spend more, the massive deficits required to keep the government running without those taxes would have the opposite effect.

When the economy is doing well, savers have a choice between making money in the private sector or loaning money to the government by buying bonds from the Treasury. The more the government borrows, generally speaking, the less money is available for ordinary people to buy houses or start or expand businesses.

OF COURSE it's never been that way, you dimwit. Haven't you read my 3,881 posts on the topic, saying exactly the same thing? That's why capitalists need laws ... with teeth ... making them do what they don't want to do: give up some of those profits to their employees. I have yet to see a mainstream economist forecast anything correctly. Ever.

There are some shocking graphs which compare forecast to actual, which they constantly "revise" to meet actual and they STILL can't get it right! Unfortunately they're in books and not available online, so these will have to do

I particularly enjoy that last chart, where every forecast optimistically (and wrongly) predicts stronger growth in the future (from the point of the forecast) than actually occurs. Sometimes the projections are even in the wrong direction! (increasing versus decreasing growth)

Economists' projections are political wishfulness, not real science. There is no such thing, at the moment, as the science of economics, which right now is a field full of hypotheses/assumptions in desperate search of supporting data.

Take just one law ... with teeth ... helping employees -- raising the minimum wage. Trump is on all sides of that issue. http://thinkprogress.org/economy/2016/07/27/3802419/donald-trump-chang

From the article I draw the conclusion that Trump is insincere about the minimum wage. That way he can appeal to everyone who wants to hear whatever they want to hear.

Khizr Khan, Father of American Muslim Soldier Killed in Iraq, Shames Donald Trump

The words of Khizr Khan — a Pakistani Muslim immigrant, whose son, Capt. Humayun S.M. Khan, was posthumously awarded the Bronze Star and Purple Heart for saving the lives of fellow soldiers in Baquba, Iraq in 2004 — were not about the wisdom or morality or politics of the war. They were about how his son’s love of country, and his family’s sacrifice, exposed the anti-Muslim bigotry behind Donald Trump’s plan to bar followers of that faith from becoming Americans.

If Trump Wins, Roe v. Wade Is ‘Ash Heap Of History’

Trump's V.P., Mike Pence, said Roe v. Wade, the U.S. Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion, will be overturned after Donald Trump is elected president in November, Mlive.com reported.

Answering a question from an audience member during a town hall in Grand Rapids, Michigan, the Indiana governor said a Republican win in the fall will lead to changes in the nation's highest court.

Trump, in his supersalesman persona, has taken all sides (politely called in the media "inconsistent") on this issue, such that his supporters can believe whatever they want to believe. Trump's V.P. has chosen to believe the standard Republican position prevailing with Republican Senators who have the power to approve or block Trump's choices for Supreme Court justices.

I think one of the most telling things after the democratic convention is that Trump stated, "like me or not you gotta stay with me" because of the Supreme Court nominations yet to come.

He knows he can no longer fight or defend himself against the truth of his campaign or character, as it was displayed to Americans in the past two weeks. Lets see if more republicans jump ship. Let's see if he quits. lol

Donald Trump is a pox on the republican party. A pox they created themselves over the past two decades.

I don't understand it either. How can one man be so wrong yet he's still in the race. Something is definitely wrong in this country, even his own party has turned their backs on him:

"Sen. Lindsey O. Graham (R-S.C.), who urged Republicans to walk away from Trump after the Curiel episode, said the Republican nominee’s attack on the Khans is unprecedented.

This is going to a place where we’ve never gone before, to push back against the families of the fallen. There used to be some things that were sacred in American politics — that you don’t do — like criticizing the parents of a fallen soldier even if they criticize you,” Graham said. “If you’re going to be leader of the free world, you have to be able to accept criticism. Mr. Trump can’t.”

I believe in solving problems, not sharing them.

Quote:

The US Park Police had jurisdiction over the matter and concluded, in conjunction with the FBI, that it was a suicide. Later investigations by independent counsels Robert Fisk and Kenneth Starr concluded the same thing. When a depressed man is found dead in a park with no sign of a struggle and gun residue on his hand, the natural conclusion is suicide, and every subsequent piece of evidence confirmed that finding. Depression plus easy access to firearms lead to an avoidable death, as it all too often does in the United States.
While Foster most likely committed suicide, https://vault.fbi.gov/vincent-foster/vincent-foster-part-02-of-04
there is a rather large question of why he committed suicide and what happened afterwards. According to some, Vince Foster was "bullied to death" by Hillary, because she mercilessly tore him part in front of others at a time when he was depressed and vulnerable. A fragment of a suicide note was later "discovered" by Hillary's staff. I wonder, if the whole thing had been found, would it have had Hillary's name on it?

Immediately after Foster's suicide, Hillary's staff removed potentially incriminating materials from his office.
Quote:

Investigators have also been trying to determine whether Mrs. Clinton sought to block Justice Department lawyers from examining files in Mr. Foster's office in the days after his death. White House aides searched the office and brought files to the Clintons' private residence before allowing investigators to look at them.

This follows a similar pattern of "missing documents"

Quote:

After nearly two years of searches and subpoenas, the White House said this evening that it had unexpectedly discovered copies of missing documents from Hillary Rodham Clinton's law firm that describe her work for a failing savings and loan association in the 1980's.
Copies with Hillary's fingerprints all over them.

And, again, another "missing document" turns up:
Quote:

... [The] chairman of the Senate Whitewater committee, was referring to the disclosure on Thursday of a two-year-old memorandum written by a former Presidential aide. The memorandum said that Mrs. Clinton had played a far greater role in the dismissal of employees of the White House travel office than the Administration has acknowledged.

The Kremlin has denied interfering in the U.S. election. However, a columnist at Russia's best-selling newspaper said it would be a smart move. Israel Shamir wrote in Pravda, "I would welcome the Kremlin helping those forces (viz. Trump) in the United States that stand for peace with Russia and democracy in America."

Trump, meanwhile, has encouraged Russia to seek and release more than 30,000 other missing emails deleted by Clinton. Democrats accused him of trying to get a foreign adversary to conduct espionage that could affect this November's election, but Trump later said he was merely being a jackass.

I know it's in their partisan self interest for conservatives to insist that Hillary is the world's biggest liar. But she isn't. Not by a long, long way. Republicans need to get the beam out of their own eye before they keep banging on about the mote in Hillary's.

I know it's in their partisan self interest for conservatives to insist that Hillary is the world's biggest liar.

It's not that she lies about the size of her ... hands ... It's that she has a decades-long history of lying about her non-existent computer security both on her private (US national security) server and the DNC server. And she has a decades-long history of lying about her positions on free-trade agreements. And she has a decades-long history of lying about Libya, and Ukraine, and Syria ... and Russia. And about what she really said during her half-a-million dollar speeches.

The facts about the real world are to her smaller and less vital than maintaining her image of capability. It makes me nervous. And if you're a sane person, it would make you nervous, too.

Let me just point out that the author left out vital relevant facts in the opinion piece. Doing that is known as cherry-picking. And whether you do that in the news, in discussion, in debate or in opinion, when you distort the facts, you've changed the nature of your communication into propaganda. But WE don't have any of THAT in the US, do we?!

Your desperation is pretty funny. Going 20+ years back to dig up something negative. Obviously, she killed him with her brain. Next you'll be chanting "Lock her up!" followed by a rousing chorus of "Hawkish!" "Hillary's War!" "20,000 Emails!" Naturally, Trump supporters can't keep more than 3 word thoughts in their brains.

Interesting to see that Hillary is doing the worst with white males with only basic education. Hello Trump supporters!

Without the voters who have one issue maybe two, Trump would not exist. At least 20% or more who are considering voting Trump do so strictly to deal with free trade. Another is immigration. Many have this concern because of global warming and economics. They foresee overwhelming migrations to come a few years down the road. We got a glimpse of what it will look like with the recent events in Europe. Our southern border is going to look like a crowded beach with people trying to cross into the United States. And that's the projected forecast of our military.

CLINTON:
I did not e-mail any classified material to anyone on my e-mail. There is no classified materials.
I am confident that I never sent nor received any information that was classified at the time.
I had not sent classified material nor received anything marked classified.

WALLACE: After a long investigation, FBI Director James Comey said none of those things that you told the American public were true.

CLINTON: Chris, that's not what I heard Director Comey say, and I thank you for giving me the opportunity, in my view, clarify. Director Comey said my answers were truthful, and what I’ve said is consistent with what I have told the American people, that there were decisions discussed and made to classify retroactively certain of the emails. ...

WALLACE: But in a congressionally hearing on July 7th, Director Comey directly contradicted what you had told the public.
REP. TREY GOWDY, R-S.C., CHAIR, BENGHAZI COMMITTEE:
Secretary Clinton said there was nothing marked classified on her e-mails either sent or received. Was that true?
JAMES COMEY, FBI DIRECTOR:
That’s not true.

COMEY: There was classified material e-mailed.

BONN, Germany — Global warming is uprooting people from their homes and, left unchecked, could lead to the greatest human migration in history, said a report released Wednesday.

Estimates vary on how many people are on the move because of climate change, but the report cites predictions from the International Organization for Migration that 200 million people will be displaced by environmental pressures by 2050. Some estimates go as high as 700 million, said the report, released at U.N negotiations for a new climate treaty.

Researchers questioned more than 2,000 migrants in 23 countries about why they moved, said Koko Warner of the U.N. University, which conducted the study with CARE International.

The results were "a clear signal" that environmental stress already is causing population shifts, she said, and it could be "a mega-trend of the future."

Do you really think what Hillary yammers about global warming matters? Nothing will get through Congress. She can talk about all those things that she wants you to imagine she cares about, but she knows she will never, ever be in a position to make good on them. Castles in the sky? That's what you're buying. And do you really think you're going to live there, dimbulb?

The only things you need to be concerned about are the things Hillary wants to do THAT CAN ACTUALLY COME TRUE.

MORE NATO on Russia's borders. And MORE pointless friction with Russia, with no goal, or plan, or end in sight, except war. MORE US support of 'friendly' Islamic terrorist groups. MORE 'free' trade agreements. MORE US job loss. MORE too big to fail banks, getting bigger and bigger.

YAY HOORAY! RUN HILLARY, RUN!

Using contested intelligence, a powerful adviser urges a president to wage a war of choice against a dictator; makes a bellicose joke when he is killed; declares the operation a success; fails to plan for a power vacuum; and watches Islamists gain power. That describes Dick Cheney and the Iraq War—and Hillary Clinton and the war in Libya.

At Tuesday’s primary debate, Clinton was criticized not just for the Iraq War vote that cost her the 2008 election, but also for the undeclared 2011 war that she urged in Libya. The Obama Administration waged that war of choice in violation of the War Powers Resolution and despite the official opposition of the U.S. Congress. “Governor Webb has said that he would never have used military force in Libya and that the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi was inevitable,” Anderson Cooper told the former Secretary of State. “Should you have seen that attack coming?”

Her answer included a broad defense of the war in Libya. “Remember what was going on,” she began, repeating a version of events that ]some intelligence officials and human rights groups doubt. see below

https://newrepublic.com/article/121879/hillary-clinton-should-take-bla
me-disastrous-libyan-intervention

Clinton and other Western officials sold NATO’s intervention in Libya as a humanitarian effort to stop the imminent slaughter of civilians in Benghazi. “Imagine we were sitting here and Benghazi had been overrun, a city of 700,000 people, and tens of thousands of people had been slaughtered, hundreds of thousands had fled. … The cries would be, ‘Why did the United States not do anything?’” Clinton said in an interview in March of 2011. ...

The problem with this rationale ... is that no solid intelligence existed to back up Clinton’s statements of the impending bloodbath in Benghazi. U.S. officials said that the Pentagon believed “Gadhafi was unlikely to risk world outrage by inflicting large civilian casualties as he cracked down on the rebels based in Benghazi,” according to the reports.

... those reported intelligence assessments, which contradict the picture painted by Clinton and the Obama administration at the time of the intervention, align with analysis and reports made by scholars, conflict analysts, and human rights groups.

Perhaps more questionable than the wisdom of the intervention was its execution. “The real question is why they did the kind of intervention they did, which was not just to protect civilians but regime change,” El Amrani said. “It is not a controversial thing to say NATO members overstepped their mandate.”

Hillary Emails Reveal True Motive for Libya Intervention

Newly disclosed emails show that Libya’s plan to create a gold-backed currency to compete with the euro and dollar was a motive for NATO’s intervention.

Hillary’s Death Squads

A March 27, 2011, intelligence brief [archived here] on Libya, sent by long time close adviser to the Clintons and Hillary’s unofficial intelligence gatherer, Sidney Blumenthal, contains clear evidence of war crimes on the part of NATO-backed rebels. Citing a rebel commander source “speaking in strict confidence” Blumenthal reports to Hillary [emphasis mine]:

Under attack from allied Air and Naval forces, the Libyan Army troops have begun to desert to the rebel side in increasing numbers. The rebels are making an effort to greet these troops as fellow Libyans, in an effort to encourage additional defections.

(Source Comment: Speaking in strict confidence, one rebel commander stated that his troops continue to summarily execute all foreign mercenaries captured in the fighting…).

While the illegality of extra-judicial killings is easy to recognize (groups engaged in such are conventionally termed “death squads”), the sinister reality behind the “foreign mercenaries” reference might not be as immediately evident to most.

While over the decades Gaddafi was known to make use of European and other international security and infrastructural contractors, there is no evidence to suggest that these were targeted by the Libyan rebels.

There is, however, ample documentation by journalists, academics, and human rights groups demonstrating that black Libyan civilians and sub-Saharan contract workers, a population favored by Gaddafi in his pro-African Union policies, were targets of “racial cleansing” by rebels who saw black Libyans as tied closely with the regime.[1]

Clinton Emails on Libya Expose The Lie of ‘Humanitarian Intervention’

By now, everyone but the most delusional must concede that the Libya intervention was a debacle of gigantic proportions. Libya remains a failed state with Jihadists controlling huge swaths of the country, including the once-prosperous town of Sirte.
The security of Tunisia, Mali and the Lake Chad Region (Nigeria, Niger, Chad, and Cameroon) has been profoundly undermined by the spill-over from the Libya conflict.

Incredibly, the deeper questions about the Libya intervention and its aftermath remain a largely verboden topic, even as the invasion’s prime intellectual author, Hillary Clinton, campaigns for the highest office in the land. However, thanks to the release of many of her emails from her time as Secretary of State, one can get a rare glimpse into the making of what has been claimed to be a “humanitarian intervention.” And, the emails show that the NATO operation was nothing of the sort.

Probably the most revealing email is dated March 30, 2011, just 11 days into the NATO bombing campaign which would go on until October, 20, when Qaddafi was finally murdered (after being sodomized). In this email (C05782459), entitled “Win this War,” Clinton’s closest adviser, Sidney Blumenthal, makes it clear that, in terms of the continuing reasons for the war, any “humanitarian motive offered is limited, conditional and refers to a specific past situation.” In other words, while NATO would go on bombing for another 7 months, Blumenthal is already admitting that there is really no humanitarian basis for continuing the conflict.

Still, Blumenthal insists on the importance for pressing on until final victory (i.e., the overthrow of Qaddafi, who he calls “Q”). And, he explains that the reasons for doing so include, first and foremost, boosting Obama’s then-anemic approval ratings.

Moreover, in terms of the alleged goal of promoting regional security, a number of emails reflect the awareness that the bombing campaign, and the toppling of the aggressively anti-Al Qaida Qadhafi, might very well open a space for Al Qaida and allied forces to take over many parts of Libya, as they actually have. For example, one email (Doc No. C05780521) ...

So, let's see --- we have Hillary lying about her server and her emails, then lying in an interview about how Comey characterized her testimony about her server and her emails, claiming he said they were 'truthful' when he said the opposite.

And then, shades of WMD!, we have Hillary using disputed intelligence to attack Libya, and JUST LIKE IRAQ, turn it into a festering clusterfuck of terrorism.

But you'll ignore all that, second-rate, and every other negative fact posted about Hillary.

Fortunately, some people - not you of course - can understand that Donald's personal shortcomings don't excuse Hillary's global ones.

1998: NAFTA pro
"Now again, I have to conclude that either American business doesn't care about opening markets around the world — Now when the President comes back to the Congress with a request for fast track authority I hope that American business voices will be heard. Having said that, I would add that there does need to be sensitivity to worker and environmental concerns in trade agreements going forward in the future. So I think that there may be some good reason for business to engage early with labor and with political leadership in Congress and the Administration ... but certainly that will not happen in the absence of some very stated and obvious business concern." (Feb. 2, 1998: Remarks at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.)

2000: NAFTA blame-shifting
"What happened to NAFTA, I think, was we inherited an agreement that we didn't get everything we should have got out of it in my opinion." (March 26, 2000: Before the Working Families Party, per Clinton 2008 campaign.)

2003: NAFTA blame-shifting
"Although unpopular with labor unions, expanding trade opportunities was an important administration goal." (From Clinton's first memoir, Living History. She was arguing that the Clinton administration could do both health care and NAFTA at once, but Bill Clinton and his advisers did not think so.)

2004: NAFTA blame-Canada!
"I think on balance NAFTA has been good for New York and America, but I also think that there are a number of areas where we're not dealt with in an upfront way in dealing with our friend to the north, Canada, which seems to be able to come up with a number of rationales for keeping New York agricultural products out of Canada." (Jan. 5, 2004: Via teleconference.)

2007: NAFTA outright lie, Bill Clinton could have vetoed it
"NAFTA was inherited by the Clinton Administration." (Feb. 1, 2007: Time interview.)

2007: NAFTA equivocal (it's not bad, it just wasn't done the right way)
"Look, NAFTA did not do what many had hoped, and so we do need to take a look at it and we do need to figure out how we're going to have trade relations that are smart..." (Nov. 15, 2007: During a CNN debate)

2008: NAFTA anti
"NAFTA was negotiated more than 14 years ago, and Hillary believes it has not lived up to its promises." (On Clinton's campaign website.)

2008: NAFTA outright lie
"You know, I have been a critic of NAFTA from the very beginning" (Feb. 26, 2008: During an NBC debate.)

2008: United States—Colombia Trade Promotion Agreement (TPA) anti
"As I have said for months, I oppose the deal. I have spoken out against the deal, I will vote against the deal, and I will do everything I can to urge the Congress to reject the Colombia Free Trade Agreement." (April 8, 2008: Before the Communications Workers of America. Her husband was in favor of it, her campaign had to distance her from his position, and her senior strategist Mark Penn was demoted because of ties to Colombia through his communications firm.)

2010: United States—Colombia Trade Promotion Agreement (TPA) pro
"First, let me underscore President Obama's and my commitment to the Free Trade Agreement." (June 11, 2010: On RCN Television. She also flew her husband in for dinner in Bogota, Colombia, with key players. Bill Clinton has always been in favor; his foundation has taken money from people with business interests there, as reported and written about in a forthcoming book by Peter Schweizer.)

2007: U.S.-Korea Trade Agreement anti
"While I value the strong relationship the United States enjoys with South Korea, I believe that this agreement is inherently unfair. It will hurt the U.S. auto industry, increase our trade deficit, cost us good middle-class jobs and make America less competitive." (June 9, 2007: Clinton before AFL-CIO confederation.)

2011: U.S.-Korea Trade Agreement pro
"This is a priority for me, for President Obama and for the entire administration. We are determined to get it done, and I believe we will." (April 16, 2011: In a talk to a business group in Seoul, South Korea.)

2012: TPP pro
"We need to keep upping our game both bilaterally and with partners across the region through agreements like the Trans-Pacific Partnership or TPP. ... This TPP sets the gold standard in trade agreements to open free, transparent, fair trade, the kind of environment that has the rule of law and a level playing field." (Nov. 15, 2012: Comments in Australia.)

2014: TPP pro
"One of our most important tools for engaging with Vietnam was a proposed new trade agreement called the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP)..." (From her second memoir, Hard Choices.)

2015: TPP pro with reservations
"She will be watching closely to see what is being done to crack down on currency manipulation, improve labor rights, protect the environment and health, promote transparency and open new opportunities for our small businesses to export overseas." (Campaign statement from aide Nick Merrill.)

It's funny to me how you try and blame NAFTA on Hillary because her husband passed it. NAFTA was passed in 1993. Hilary cast her first vote when she became a senator in 2001 almost a decade later. If you think it strange she supported her husband then you truly are off-balance. I'll let those who wish to waste their time fact check what else you posted. Me, I know you post subjectively (to confuse an issue so people believe an untruth) so I won't waste my time further.

I also know one of the major problems with trade is our government does not confront violators of our trade agreements. The uproar happening today is about fixing that. What you and SIG always post is designed to manipulate (control) a discussion so it fits your agenda. I cannot say I am looking forward to your next attempt.

Trump Bolsters Foreign-Policy Team by Adding Carson and Palin
By Andy Borowitz , August 2, 2016
www.newyorker.com/humor/borowitz-report/trump-bolsters-foreign-policy-
team-by-adding-carson-and-palin

NEW YORK (The Borowitz Report)—After stumbling badly on an interview question about Ukraine, the Republican Presidential nominee Donald Trump attempted on Tuesday to reassure voters about his geopolitical expertise by adding the retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson and the former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to his team of foreign-policy advisers.

“Donald Trump always said that, as President, he would surround himself with the best people,” Trump’s spokesperson, Hope Hicks, said. “In Governor Palin and Dr. Carson, Mr. Trump now has the Dream Team.”

Speaking to reporters, Palin dismissed the controversy over Ukraine as “much ado about a gotcha question.”

“Donald Trump is one hundred and ten percent correct when he says that no one needs to be worrying about Ukraine,” she said. “If you look Ukraine up on Google Maps, like I just did, it’s right where it’s always been.”

Dr. Carson said that, as President, Donald Trump would support the territorial integrity of Ukraine and “its magnificent network of underground grain tunnels.”

“I cannot overemphasize the importance of Ukraine’s grain pipeline,” he said. “If you choke off Ukraine, Europe cannot bake bread.”

Trump’s spokesperson said that the additions to his foreign-policy brain trust should give voters “great confidence” that a Trump White House would be equal to the challenge of an international crisis. “When that 3 A.M. call comes in, and Mr. Trump is busy on Twitter, Dr. Carson and Governor Palin will be there to take the call,” she said.

"I'll let those who wish to waste their time fact check what else you posted. Me, I know you post subjectively (to confuse an issue so people believe an untruth) so I won't waste my time further."

Yes, I did just that, wasted my time I mean, but to prove a point.

Senate supporters were 34 Republicans and 27 Democrats. Clinton signed it into law on December 8, 1993; the agreement went into effect on January 1, 1994.
Source: BING search; Wikipedia on NAFTA.

The point you make about our little comrades is spot on; they often conflate information to confound and confuse and present it as fact......i.e.

Hillary's decades long "lying" record:

"And she has a decades-long history of lying about her positions on free-trade agreements. And she has a decades-long history of lying about Libya, and Ukraine, and Syria ... and Russia.

The very structure of that sentence is factually wrong. For one, the NAFTA agreement was championed by her husband, Bill Clinton as POTUS. Backed by both sides of the aisle as shown above. Hillary had nothing to do with it, but you knew that (and so do they). She may have supported it, that's about as far as one could take it. And (b), Libya, Ukraine, Syria and Russia all happened within the last 5 years. I know it's a technicality, but you know how our "friends" profusely expound upon their presentation of the "facts"; so I'm splitting hairs here.

Then they complete their confusing contributions by claiming that certain
media outlets provide few facts, thereby nullifying any contributions others may make in presenting their arguments. An old T-Bag tactic. The MSM argument is just such a misleading POV. All media, including our good friends at Fox, are mainstream (they are owned and operated by giant media moguls who put forth their own biases and prejudices).

That, of course, is different than having a candidate standing at a podium and lying through their teeth. That is a fact that cannot be denied, no matter who the politico is. If one wishes to claim Hillary is a liar and cannot be trusted, that's hyperbole and opinion, not fact and cannot be enter as such unless one has incontrovertible proof. I'm talking smoking gun proof. Otherwise it's assumption, inference......not fact. Funny, the FBI investigated, but did not arrest or recommend prosecution. Odd, because
there are those that suggest that "crooked" Hillary is so powerful that she can "influence" the FBI.

We all know that life exists on other planets, but...............

Don't being going there because Trump still has a pretty good chance of becoming President. I think it is significant that Trump's chance of winning is the same chance as losing at a game of Russian Roulette with two bullets in the revolver -- 33.3%. If I were Putin, I would try to put another Trump brand bullet or two in the six-shooter in hopes that the USA would pull the trigger.

SECOND, still on the crazy-bus.

You really believe that, don't you? Holy shit, SECOND, whatever happened to your reasonableness?

And that picture that you posted???

It applies to you. YOU'RE the one calling Trump a Hitler, and YOU'RE the one backing a candidate who compared Putin to Hitler. The person throwing around those "Hitler" comparisons is you and your candidate, dearie.

You've just demonstrated another liberal-logic-fail.

But I've discovered that if you scratch a liberal, what do you find under the skin? A dictator!

I think it's time you disabused yourself of that pleasant little fairy tale about our fearless leaders being some sort of surrogate daddy or mommy, laying awake at night thinking about how to protect the kids.
