The driver of the Challenger, James Alex Fields Jr., 20, of Ohio, was arrested and charged with one count of second-degree murder, three counts of malicious wounding, and one count of hit-and-run attended failure to stop with injury, police said. He is being held without bail and is scheduled to be arraigned Monday, Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail Superintendent Martin Kumer said.

Records show Fields last lived in Maumee, Ohio, about 15 miles southwest of Toledo.

Fields’s father was killed by a drunk driver a few months before the boy’s birth, according to an uncle who spoke on the condition of anonymity. His father left him money that the uncle kept in a trust until Fields reached adulthood.

“When he turned 18, he demanded his money, and that was the last I had any contact with him,” the uncle said.

Fields, he said, grew up mostly in Northern Kentucky, where he’d been raised by a single mother who was a paraplegic. The uncle, who saw Fields mostly at family gatherings ...

The Antifa group, along with Black Lives Matter and some other leftists were gathered to discuss the day's plans; when suddenly these brain surgeons from all over the country appeared with the torches to drop by and say hello. Nice of them fellas to do that; mighty neighborly...don't ya think! That was Friday night.

Before you start ranting and raving about this, hear this...the KKK group showed up with riot gear and all kinds of "armor" - so did the leftist group. And then on the day of the General Lee love fest, they were prepped for battle. Thing was disgusting all along. Tempers flared, punches were thrown, so were bottles filled with water, but also some were filled with urine. That's right urine! I could guess who brought that. There were a reported 1000 Nazi scumbags marching about that day, and some 5000 protesters that were anti-white supremacy. After much scuffling and mayhem, the police finally moved in and broke up the ugly event.

People were disbursing and heading for home, when the cowards, who obviously planned this, sent that dumb motherfucker to plow into the crowd of people milling about on that street. Just like those terrorists in Europe who act out as "Lone Wolves" to commit this despicable and cowardly act. Only low-life scumbag losers act that way. They can't win so they commit acts of pure evil to somehow satisfy their pathetic puny lives.

Some of the usual suspects quickly lined up to claim that the car attack was a “false flag” made to make Trump and his supporters look bad. Conspiracy theorist radio personality Alex Jones claimed that a lot of “KKK guys” at racist events are actually “Jewish actors.” Wayne Allyn Root, a Trump acolyte who campaigned for the president in Nevada, wrote on Twitter that the white nationalists rallying in Charlottesville were “[p]robably paid actors & infiltrators hired by Soros”

One of the things that I also noticed was that there's been an attempt to dismantle the Dept. of Consumer Protection as well. Trump is the perfect salesman for the pulling of the wool over our collective eyes.

Here we are fussing and fighting about him making a statement regarding his outrage over something he definitely promotes - hatred and racism - meanwhile he's slowly destroying what has kept this country working decades.
Are we perfect? Hell no! But the system we have is ours. There are hundreds of positions that have not been filled in the federal government and it's a
deliberate ploy by Bannon and that other scumbag (the other Nazi in the White House, I can't remember his name). Trump has used the "alt-right" and Bannon has used Trump to promote his agenda. The Republican party better wake up soon and get this guy out of the White House before it's too late.

What does this even mean? The President is in charge of the Executive Branch. As such, he is responsible for carrying out laws passed by Congress, such as the Clean Air Act.

In order to do this, agencies - empowered with the ability to write laws ("regulations") of their own are set into motion. There is nothing INHERENTLY "democratic" about rules and regs ... no elected body to appeal to. Now, before regulations are set in place, there ARE public hearings. These hearings are designed to SLOW UP the imposition of regulations. Does the author mean that public hearings are no longer being held? That rules and regs, duly authorized by Congress and the President, are either being wiped out or not being enforced?

I hate to say it, but that simply reflects the one-way, biased nature of rule-making and rule-enforcement. Business has had such a stranglehold on rule development that the path towards delaying, blunting, or setting aside rules and regs is a well-worn path. The process of responding to concerned-citizen groups is much less certain, and requires a specific lawsuit from an interest group: NRDC, EDF, PPNA, ACLU etc. It's always been about money, and it's not about Trump.

Have you seen the movie Hell or High Water ? Chris Pine plays a Texas bank robber. Unlike you and millions of other Americans, he’s not gonna wait for Washington DC to rescue him from his money troubles.

At the end of the movie, retired Texas Ranger Jeff Bridges has a strong suspicion that Chris Pines is the bank robber he was hunting before he retired. Chris Pines gives him a little speech on the front porch of the Pine ranch, confirming the suspicion: “I've been poor my whole life. So were my parents, their parents before them. It's like a disease… passing from generation to generation, becomes a sickness. That's what it is. Infects every person you know...but not my boys. Not anymore.”

I could explain how Chris Pines can get the money he needs to stop foreclosure on his oil producing West Texas property from the well drillers. I could give Chris Pines lessons on how to negotiate with the power elite, but it is wasted on boneheads. Pines already knew how to rob and kill bank tellers so he stayed with what he knew. He could also have done nothing, just waited for his money to run out and the bank to foreclose, but then there wouldn’t be a movie. Nobody is interested in that particularly movie about doing nothing but whining about how unfair the powerful are. It’s an on-going movie starring millions of Americans.

6stringJoker, Washington DC will not come to your rescue. The Republicans would never allow it. You don’t have to take Chris Pines’ example, either, and rob banks. Be smarter than a movie antihero. Be smarter than the typical poor person doing nothing but waiting for death. There is some middle ground between waiting for help that can never come because of Republicans and going on a bank robbery/murder rampage. I hope you are energetic enough to find that middle ground and stop blaming Democrats for not bringing another New Deal, eighty-five years after the previous New Deal. Or at least blame Republicans for no more New Deals.
