The escort claiming to have tapes proving Russian interference in the US election, explained

Vashukevich’s claims have been getting a surprising amount of attention from mainstream media sources — and for some understandable reasons.

For one, that wasn’t just any oligarch she traveled with. It was Russian aluminum magnate and former Paul Manafort employer Oleg Deripaska. That’s the oligarch whom Manafort wanted to privately brief and with whom he seems to have surreptitiously communicated, through an intermediary, while he chaired Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.

For another, it wasn’t just any top Russian government official who accompanied them on Deripaska’s yacht — it was Sergei Prikhodko, Russia’s deputy prime minister, a longtime Putin ally who has a foreign policy portfolio and is a very high-ranking official indeed.

Finally, the idea that Vashukevich might have secretly taped their conversations isn’t just hypothetical. At least once, she clearly did it, recording the two men as Deripaska discussed US-Russia relations. She later posted the video on her public Instagram account, where it sat for many months, essentially unnoticed, until anti-corruption political activist and Putin critic Alexei Navalny discovered it and explained its import in a YouTube video, accusing the deputy prime minister of accepting bribes from the oligarch.

Yes, we will see.

The informant, BTW, is willing to trade the information for a "get out of jail free" card because she's stuck in a Thai jail for sex trafficking. Supposedly, the CIA is interviewing her now to see if she has anything of interest to reveal.

What I want to know is ... why is nobody interviewing Julian Assange?

Also - Deripaska is no ally of Putin, and Pikhodko has no position in the Putin government. Prikhodko's position as Deputy PM (under Medvedev) ended in 2013. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deputy_Prime_Minister_of_Russia

You got your facts wrong, again.

It gets interesting about 5 minutes in. Then again about the U.S. elections around the 18 minute mark. Sorry, sig and kiki won't need to read the subtitles but the rest of us will.

Was this the same yacht party that McCain attended?

The subtitles don't show up in English, so I can't figure out what's being said and I doubt anyone else can either.

Oligarch Tied to Manafort Has Past Links to Senior US Politicians

Some of Deripaska’s past has apparently come back to haunt him. He was reportedly barred for years from entering the United States because of alleged ties with organized crime, and while that ban was lifted in 2005, it was reimposed in 2006.

Deripaska enlisted help to try to overcome these hurdles. For example, he reportedly paid $560,000 in the early 2000s to Alston & Bird, the law firm of Bob Dole, the former U.S. Senate majority leader and 1996 Republican presidential nominee, which was able to get Deripaska’s U.S. visa reinstated, at least for a time.

In addition, the Washington Post reported in January 2008 that Rick Davis, who was then the manager of Senator John McCain’s presidential campaign, helped arrange a drinks-and-dinner meeting in January 2006 between Deripaska and a small group of U.S. senators, including McCain, near Davos, Switzerland, where the World Economic Forum was taking place.

According to the newspaper, seven months later, in August 2006, Davis, McCain and Deripaska attended a dinner in Montenegro, whose governing party had a contract with the lobbying firm that Davis ran together with Paul Manafort.

“Afterward, a group from the dinner took boats out to a nearby yacht moored in the Adriatic Sea, where champagne and pastries were served, partly in honor of McCain's 70th birthday,” the Washington Post reported.

First, the subtitles are in English as everyone who watches it will see. You must be panicked to even suggest something like that which is so easily proven false. Perhaps your preferred language when watching Russian videos is Russian? That may be why you don't have English subtitles.

When they are speaking English at the 18 minutes mark the subtitles change to Russian. Get my point comrade?

Second, the video is over 25 minutes long. You responded to it in 5 minutes. Check the time stamps on the posts. Guess you never watched it.

First, I have to open the video in Youtube in a separate tab and then click on "cc" to get the subtitles in English. I don't know about anybody else, but my computer doesn't play the English subtitles automatically from your link. It would be interesting if others weigh in with their experience, altho I doubt that anybody like JOIDIOT or GSTRING or TWITCHY would be honest enuf to agree with me, even if they had the same experience.

And there you go again, presuming lies and motivations which don't exist. Like I said, others will be able to click on the same link. If they get the same result that I do, then they'll know who the idiot is.

Since it was all in Russian early on, I didn't even get that far, so what is YOUR point, libeler/toll?

Quote:

Yes, BECAUSE IT WAS IN RUSSIAN. WHY WOULD I WATCH A VIDEO IN RUSSIAN??

Sheesh!!!

Quote:

Tick tock indeed, libeler/troll.

BTW, I knew about the McCain-Manafort-Deripaska contacts because of a video from some end-times Xtian who was convinced that someone in the the Rothschild family will be the anti-Christ. Despite the fact that this guy had an idee fixe (kind of like you do), unlike THUGR he was EXTREMELY detailed. And somewhere in that long, excruciating history of the Rothschilds, he hit upon the links between the Rothschilds, Deripaska, McCain, and Manafort. If I can find that video again, I'll post it; there was a lot of interesting details about that part of politics.

In the meantime, I've wasted enough time with idiots.

I don't know where that conversation is, but maybe GSTRING can explain what the essential difference is between one and the other.

Hers seem to always involve an exchange of money, his I don't recall any claims of money exchanged. Weird, if we consider the Primary objective attributed to Trump is money.

Yeah, right.

A self-described Russian 'seductress' is claiming she has dirt on Trump

A Russian escort is asking the US government to grant her asylum in exchange for audio recordings that she says reveal new information about Russian meddling in the US election.

The escort says she recorded more than 16 hours of conversations between a Russian oligarch, a top Russian government official, and others about US-Russian relations and the election.

"If America gives me protection, I will tell everything I know," she said on Monday.

"I'm ready to give you all the missing puzzle pieces, support them with videos and audios, regarding the connections of our respected lawmakers with Trump, Manafort and the rest. I know a lot. I'm waiting for your offers and I'm waiting for you in a Thai prison," Vashukevich said in a video she posted on Instagram on her way to the Pattaya jail.

Quote:

that Trump's campaign was a willing, active partner in this crime/act of Treason (I believe).
That is what we have not seen evidence of, so far. Now, if that isn't a belief, I don't know what is, because there sure isn't any evidence that YOU know about in that direction!

Well, JUST TODAY you insinuated that I was against investigating the Trump campaign. Now, I doubt that you can find anywhere where I said it shouldn't be done. I think it's politically motivated, and I'm completely against an investigation that starts out with one topic and then veers all over the map until they find SOMEthing ... but an HONEST investigation ... i.e. one that doesn't start out with the PRESUMPTION OF GUILT (LIKE YOU DO) ... will uncover the truth.

ALSO, I think ALL of our public servants should get the same anus-scrubbing treatment. Hillary, Brennan, Comey, Lynch, Obama, and a raft of FBI, DOJ, CIA, and NSA employees could probably use some light being shown up their behinds.

Hillary, in particular, was treated to such a bungled investigation - which not only destroyed physical evidence but put witnesses out of reach - that it's hard to believe that it wasn't done specifically to keep her out of jail and in contention for the Presidency. So are we a nation of laws, or not?

And JUST TODAY, in this thread, you said I was "against democracy". http://www.fireflyfans.net/mthread.aspx?tid=62254 REALLY???

I could go back to almost any of your posts where you claim I said something, or think something, or have a particular motivation, or stand for something, or AM something, and they are virtually without exception sheer, unmitigated lies.

So yeah- fuck off, liar.

And now, back to our regularly scheduled topic ....

There is one other investigation going on, which has received far less attention than Mueller and even fewer leaks, and that is the AG's investigation into the texts between Strzok and Page, and any other indications that there may have been political bias in the FBI's and DOJ's handling of either the Trump investigation or the Hillary investigation.

It will be interesting to see what comes of it. A lot of people have already been reassigned, or quit, or retired, over these texts.

Once again we see sig trying to spin the truth. Everything she has been posting regarding Trump agrees with Trumps own outlook on the investigation. That it is bogus.

I.E. witch hunt, no collusion, no proof of any wrong doing whatsoever she says in post after post. With this position taken by her one would wonder why she would agree we need an investigation into Trump.

I'll tell you why. She posts the investigation is a sham 99% of the time. Ocassionaly she'll post she is for it, except, because it's been a years worth of no wrong doing found, it should end.

What sig cares about most is Americas' concept of Russia and what we will do. Trump is a secondary concern to her. She supports him because of the damage he is doing to this country both internally and globally.

Which of course supports Putins agenda.

Give it up. You and yours have been beating this topic with a stick and it goes nowhere. If Sessions is doing this it is to appease Trump and a few traitorous republicans. It's only a ploy to change the subject. Nope, Trump, Russia Russia Russia.

Besides, you're quoting zerohedge again. A bullshit source. You just can't help yourself can you?

Informant had no evidence Clinton benefited from uranium sale

An informant whom House Republicans have said could reveal a link between a 2010 sale of U.S. uranium supplies and donations to the Clinton Foundation provided no evidence of that during a four-hour interview with congressional staff last month, Democrats said on Thursday.

The informant, lobbyist William D. Campbell, "provided no evidence of a quid pro quo involving Secretary (Hillary) Clinton or the Clinton Foundation and no evidence that Secretary Clinton was involved in, or improperly influenced" the uranium sale, the Democrats said in a five-page summary of the Feb. 7 interview.

Mr. Campbell identified no evidence that Secretary Hillary Clinton, President Bill Clinton, or anyone from the Obama Administration took any actions as a result of Russian requests or influence," the summary says.

Again sig, again rappy kiki jsf jack nothing. All your hooting and hollering on this and your hero's can't find shit. Nothing connecting Clinton to any wrong doing. Again they come across as liars making false claims against Hillary and the Clinton foundation for political reasons.

So again you all find yourselves as having been led around by the nose by self serving trolls in government. Do you feel any embarrassment at all? A little shame maybe?

Well, JUST TODAY you insinuated that I was against investigating the Trump campaign. Now, I doubt that you can find anywhere where I said it shouldn't be done. Wait, what? You really want us to believe you are in favor of Mueller's investigation of Trump? I thought you were telling the truth with all that "they should investigate Hillary!" and "It's the Deep State!" Both of those can't be true, so... connect the dots.

Ex-FBI Asst. Director Says Upcoming Inspector General Report Is "Pure TNT"

Former FBI Assistant Director Chris Swecker said today that a highly anticipated report from the DOJ's Inspector General Michael Horowitz will contain "some pure TNT." Horowitz has been investigating the conduct of the FBI's top brass surrounding the 2016 election for over a year. He also uncovered over 50,000 text messages between two anti-Trump / pro-Clinton FBI employees directly involved in the exoneration of Clinton and the counterintelligence operation launched against the Trump campaign.

Swecker: “The behavior if it’s manifested in the action with your thumb on the scale of a particular investigation, one way or the other, that’s borderline criminal behavior — manipulating an investigation. I think this IG report is going to be particularly impactful, more so than any of these useless congressional investigations. I think you’re going to see some pure TNT come out in this IG report.”

In a lengthy statement, McCabe said he believes he is being politically targeted because he corroborated former FBI Director James Comey’s claims that Trump tried to pressure him into killing the Russia probe.

This statement now makes him a witness in any obstruction case Mueller may be contemplating. Actually, I think he already was. Lets not forget all Trumps tweets and public statements about him going back. This seems like a slam dunk.

A conspiracy theory is an explanation of an event or situation that invokes an unwarranted conspiracy, generally one involving an illegal or harmful act.

According to many psychologists, a person who believes in one conspiracy theory is often a believer in other conspiracy theories. Psychologists believe that the search for meaningfulness features largely in conspiracism and the development of conspiracy theories.

According to University of Chicago political science professors Eric Oliver and Thomas Wood, in any given year roughly half of Americans believe in at least one conspiracy theory. Their 2014 study found that 19% of Americans believed the U.S. government planned the 9/11 attacks to start a war in the Middle East, 24% believed former president Barack Obama was not born in the United States, and 25% believed Wall Street bankers conspired to cause the financial crisis that began in 2008. Those are high numbers considering there is zero evidence to support any of those theories.

What I think is that you're nuts. As for me rewriting history, you need to know McCabe documented in real time what Trump was up to, and Mueller has it.

Andrew McCabe was just offered a job by a congressman so he can get his full retirement. And it just might work.

That's one way of protesting Andrew McCabe's firing as deputy FBI director, roughly a day before he was set to retire: At least one Democratic congressman has offered McCabe a temporary job so he can get full retirement benefits — and McCabe appears to be considering.
Rep. Mark Pocan (D-Wis.) announced Saturday afternoon that he has offered McCabe a job to work on election security in his office, “so that he can reach the needed length of service” to retire.
