Poorly worded. What do you mean by "fake"? That there was no evidence of a crime? If that's the case, there is sufficient evidence that the "Russian collusion/ Crossfire Hurricane" investigation was fake, and that the investigators knew it was fake (because of the careful omission of info from the FISA warrant) so the investigation itself, and the investigators, certainly deserve to be investigated.

When certain politicians' behaviors cross my ethical lines it's like an out-of-bounds ball, it make a buzz in my head. Bill Clinton's behavior with Monica, while skeezy and inappropriate, wasn't worth impeachment.

Here are moments that buzzed:

Bill Clinton: DMCA; China special trade relationship; the "end of welfare as we know it"; "regime change war" in Yugoslavia; Commodities Futures Trading Act; NAFTA; CAFTA (negotiations); ending Glass Steagall

GWB: 9-11; "regime change" wars in Afghanistan and Iraq based on lies; torture, extraordinary rendition, and Gitmo; GWOT; beginning wiretapping Americans' communications by tapping into AT&T's SF server; Patriot Act; tax cuts for the rich and massive deficit spending; driving wealth inequality and setting us up for 2008; China accession into WTO; CAFTA (signed)

Obama: bailing out the banks with NO prosecutions; driving wealth inequality higher (Occupy, anyone?); near-universal electronic surveillance of Americans and massive NSA server in Utah; "regime change wars" in Ukraine, Syria, and Libya; 10X expanded secret drone strikes in Yemen, Pakistan, and Somalia; executing an American citizen abroad without trial; TPP/TTIP (negotiated); and (of course) continuing "regime chnage" efforts in Iraq and Afghanistan; continuing Gitmo; even more massive deficit spending; ordering (or at least not stopping) surveillance on the Trump campaign under false pretenses

Trump: Expanded secret drone strike program (most ppl don't know about that); "regime change" operations thru crippling sanctions on Cuba, Venezuela, and Iran; backing out of the JPCOA; Mideast Peace Plan ("Deal of the Century"); even more massive government deficit spending and greater wealth inequality than before; continued "regime change" operations begun under previous Presidents; continued surveillance of Americans begun under previous Presidents: give me some time and I'll probably come up with more.

So to be specific about Ukrainegate, it's not that candidates should not be investigated while running for office.

Candidate HILLARY was being investigted.
Candidate TRUMP was being investigated ...
What makes Biden so special?

The ethical line that was crossed is that Trump was being investigated under FALSE ALLEGATIONS, and the FBI knew it. You can see by the fact that they worded their FISA warrant application so carefully. The OTHER ethical boundary that was crossed was that the (false, and eventually disproved) allegations were being constantly leaked to the press.

So, Trump wanting to have Biden investigated is not a facial cause for concern, IMHO. I don't see any wrongdoing there.
