Bush's Top Concern On Latin American Tour: Food

Associated Press | TRACI CARL | March 13, 2007 04:48 PM

Is anyone feeding the president?
At every stop on his seven-day, five-country Latin American trip, including here on Tuesday, President Bush has been fixated on food.

of course you are right - eating - no big deal, but a fixation... is that healthy... i'm only concerned with his health because i expect him to continue his ruling dictatorship for many more years - democracy - pfft... what's that? Oligarchy... that's where the fun's at - and you are welcome to it -

I wasn't aware that he HAD to eat- is that how his organic systems are maintained? I'd assumed that they were fueled by a crude paste he drank nightly.
His digestive tract must be intact- I thought they removed that for the machine parts.
Boy do I have some wacky preconceptions!

Wrong again Chrisisall

If for no other reason, this is why he should be impeached.

In Colombia, part of Bush's agenda included time with locals growing crops as alternatives to the illegal coca from which cocaine is made. The vendors' stalls were filled with honey, chocolate and coffee. To the dismay of many of the liberal media in attendance, (as well as the president himself), the highest selling crop was nowhere to be found.

Said one local merchant, “With the security as tight as it is due to the visit from the President of the United States, the only flake in town is indeed, the President of the United States…”

Next came Guatemala, where Bush hauled some lettuce onto a truck _ something he later called "one of the great experiences of my presidency… it ranks right up there with the time I caught a fish outta my stock pond down in Texas… heh heh heh…”

Hey, I'll give him a break on this one. He's a Texan, he's been living in Washington DC, eating White House Food.. Probably having Tex-Mex withdrawal. Probably walking the streets at night with a sign, " Will invade your country for an enchilada."

This all makes me wonder how Darth Vader ate, they never showed him eating. Or did he get nutrition when he when into that spherical thingy for rest.

This eating thing is a show for the public. He doesn't even look like he's very good at it. Instead of getting the food closer to his mouth, he's just sticking his tounge out further. Which is kind of reptillian.

That's it, GB is an alien/reptile dark Jedi!

I'll admit that photographs of people taken when they are eating are usually bad, but shouldn't he practice in front of a mirror or something... and where is what's her name.... Laura - doesn't she have any control over this guy? can't she teach him some manners?... he looks like he's back in the oil patch, chowing down on a burrito with the roughnecks... (no offense to the roughnecks...)

No apology necessary – I realize that having a cowboy from Texas in the White House tends to perpetuate the stereotypical perception that all inhabitants of that particular region are rude, boorish, insensitive louts who consume vast amounts of red meat while eschewing the civil liberties of those who would oppose their ideological, political and moral beliefs, or lack thereof.

Oh, and I believe the actual non-politically correct racial slang terminology is ‘taco bender’…..

Edit: I have discredited the true, honest, hard working Cowboy with my above statement. Real, independent cattlemen are a dying breed. I have had the honor to know several true cowboys – (not the rhinestone type) – and Mr. Bush, you are no cowboy….
