I've been back and forth from Tucson and Reno since football started sometimes Vegas but all the gun shops are making doe. I noticed about 3 months age ammo went through the roof. I know the .223 rounds are scare because of the war. But .38s and .45s sweep baby jane the price is high. Sportsman Wharehouse had half the hanguns gone here in Tucson. All automatics. I like checken out any good deals which Ruger sigma is on sale at Cabela's in Phoenix and Reno. I take my winchester up to Reno with me. Washoe County has a nice open gun range towards Pyramid Lake. Its right before you come to Paiute Indian Rez.
The men shooten the breeze talk about the economy worried about increase in crime, the O's plan to take your rights away, and pc's own rumor total collapse of the western world and ass rapists running loose in merican streets.

"Battle of Serenity, Mal. Besides Zoe here, how many-" "I'm talkin at you! How many men in your platoon came out of their alive"

Well, I ain't too concerned about prices at the moment given that I already got all I need and more than I ever wanted, up to and including a home defense piece that's barely a step short of a freaking artillery barrage.

Wouldn't mind a wheeled APC just for kicks, but prolly gonna buy a SmartCar instead and mount a jolly big windup key on the back just to be a smartass.

Mad stupid prices on some ammo here in Northern Nevada. I made a hard descision to trade my(Insert previously owned tacticool weapon here), 500 rounds, seven mags, and a Trijicon T-33R for a(soviet style arm), twelve mags, and nearly six thousand rounds of ammo. Done paying for the rapists new hnting lodges and vehicles. Some of our local suppliers are definately making more of a fuss than is needed and keep telling us the ammo we see is the end of it. Yet they keep resupplying their shelves.

Screw 'em. If there is to be some uprising stupid bullshit there will be plenty of tacticool weapons with tickle your nuts gadgets and buttloads of ammo laying all over the place.

This is what's bothering me:

It won't matter what damn gun or how much ammo anyone has. Everyone will be shitting pancakes once they decide to shove the Constiturion up our asses.

Hmmm... And to think I bought over 1000 rounds of 7.62x39mm ammo at $0.16/round about 2 months ago... I *wish* I'd have had the spare coin lying around to pick up a pallet of it at those prices, because that was considered damn cheap these days. Never mind that about 4 years ago, I was paying $0.08/round. Still, even at sixteen cents a pop, that represents about a 35% savings over what prices have been lately.

And since the election, even those prices have gone up - some places I've seen, IF they have it, they're charging $249 - $329 for a case of a thousand rounds.

Just crazy, is all.

5.45x39mm is still relatively cheap, but nowhere near what it was a few years ago.

And don't even get me started on weapons prices! Let's just say I got everything I need, but not everything I want, back when the getting was good. I laid out $150 for my Saiga 7.62x39 back in the day, brand new in the box. Now, IF you can find 'em, they start at $329-349. Again, I wish I'd bought a pallet of 'em...

Hmm, needs... MORE DAKKA!!
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/MoreDakka

Seriously though, I got the supreme heresy of "enough dakka", in the person of Forquet.

Since Mikey's no doubt interested, and others might be....

Forquet is a Saiga S-12, barrel at legal minimum, open choke, shark compensator, tapco trigger group, MD Arms 20 round drum mag, gas piston recoil buffer(heavy), bolt open lock mod, and although initially reluctant to add the pistol grip, went with a pistol-gripped conventional stock modifed from one originally designed for a Remington 870 with additional recoil padding in the buttplate, and a forward grip at 90 degrees left (level with the ground) which in combination with the patrol sling, makes sure the barrel is pointed downrange effectively even when going hog wild with it.

Topped off by a surefire gun light mount holding a Wicked Lasers illuminator SO powerful you can quite literally fry an egg with it.
http://www.wickedlasers.com/lasers/Wicked_Lights-74-0.html

And quite legal thank you verra much, since every single mod part is american made.

That beasty can put 21 rounds of single-O, 3/4" buck downrange just as fast as I can twin stroke* the trigger, and given that I shoot at USPAS competition level despite my carry piece being "too small" for their events, that's pretty damned fast, about 5.2 seconds to empty the mag downrange, which'll make a glorious cursed mess of even five well spaced popup targets out to 25 yards.

You'd need artillery to come even close to that, or a metalstorm.

So yeah, I got "enough" gun, blasphemous that it sounds.

Oh, and let's hear it for the fact that my wheelchair has wheelie bars on it (ok, STOP laughing) since I might someday theoretically have to fire from it, we tested it at the range in the handicapped lane, much to the range owners consternation and amusement.

If not for those wheelie bars it would have went over for sure, and despite the brakes being fully locked when I opened up, that chair went back a ways anyhow.
We welded an additional plate to the right lifter and lower frame and then went back, it worked quite well that time by placing the buttstock against the plate and letting the plate soak up the recoil instead of me.

Just remember to lock the damn brakes before firing, or you'll be doing a Jack Sparrow cannon ride for sure.
