Just wondering, who here, like Conan, drinks too much at dusk, yet can still slay demons & sh*t (or go to work/create art/manage a business/take over corporations) later the next day?

Well I don't have things to drink that often, but I love switching the first letters in words around anyways, its something I do with my little brother all the time.

America loves a winner!

That sounds like a fun game, Riona. Less expensive than drinking, and no where near the hang over.

Well, when booze is often the only painkiller you have....

Most folk wouldn't notice, as being lit generally results in me being a little more eloquent and a lot less diplomatic - but then some scientific studies have indicated some folk function a little BETTER with a a bit of a load on, so there's that too.

Once I've hoisted a pair of sheets to the wind though, I can be downright nice - it's amazing the effect chronic grinding pain can have on ones personality.

Sorry to hear that Frem. Chronic pain is no joke. I suffered for the last two years from a separated shoulder that I had medical insurance, but not the ability to pay the co-pays to get medical attention for. I finally got a bit better pay and got some physical therapy and about a year on it is better. But yes, alcohol was an occasional anodyne when I couldn't stand it or I'd aggravated it.

A niece of mine died from a combination of prescription medication, alcohol and sleep apnea. I really understand what you're going through.

I'm sorry Frem, that isn't something I can relate to from personal experience yet, but its got to be miserable. I'm glad there's something that helps a little.

Yeah Raptor, I would probably have things to drink a little more often if they weren't so blasted expensive, its definitely cheaper to drink at home, but daquery mix isn't as good as what you get in resturants. At home I sometimes like to put Baileys in chocolate milk, yummy.
