Title should be: "I hate everyone and everything on the left".

Oh, by the way, regarding Mr. Bowles. Yes, I know Breitbart's got that video flying all over the bloggosphere, doesn't surprise me you glommed onto it. For one thing, bear in mind it was 2011--in other words, different Ryan Plan. For another, he had a few things to say about Romney's proposal, which Romney promises us would be "different" from Ryan's:
Quote:

As a lifelong Democrat who proudly voted for Obama in 2008, I applauded the president’s insistence on a balanced plan to stabilize the debt. I have urged him to go further and embrace more of the recommendations of the national commission he appointed. For example, to be taken seriously, his plan has to do more to slow the growth in health-care costs.

As a businessman with real respect and appreciation for Mitt Romney’s business career, I plead, from one numbers guy to another: You must have a balanced plan that reforms the tax code in a progressive, pro-growth manner and produces additional revenue if you are serious about reducing the deficit by at least $4 trillion without disrupting the country’s fragile economic recovery and hurting the disadvantaged. The plan must produce enough capital to invest in education, infrastructure and high-value-added research so that the United States can compete effectively in the knowledge-based global economy.

But real deficit reduction — cutting the deficit by at least $4 trillion over the next decade to stabilize the debt and get it on a downward path as a percentage of gross domestic product — won’t happen without sweeping tax reform. This year, our broken tax code will give away more in loopholes — $1.3 trillion — than it collects in income taxes. That’s nuts, especially when most of the tax code’s backdoor spending goes to benefit well-off folks like me.

This month, Romney said that his tax reform proposal is “very similar to the Simpson-Bowles plan.” How I wish it were. I will be the first to cheer if Romney decides to embrace our plan. Unfortunately, the numbers say otherwise: His reform plan leaves too many tax breaks in place and, as a result, does nothing to reduce the debt.

The most important lesson Al and I learned on the commission is that to fix the debt, everything must be on the table. Americans everywhere have told us that as long as the sacrifice is shared, they are ready to do their part. The surest way to doom deficit reduction is to play favorites by taking things off the table.

So although I give Romney credit for pledging to reform the tax code to reduce loopholes, his current proposal will not take us to the promised land. The Romney plan, by sticking to revenue-neutrality and leaving in place tax breaks, would raise taxes on the middle class and do nothing to shrink the deficit. http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/why-romneys-tax-plan-wont-cut-t
he-deficit/2012/08/09/37fb2d20-e19c-11e1-a25e-15067bb31849_story.html
, he wasn't that crazy about the ROMNEY Plan...which is what Romney says he'll offer, not the Ryan Plan.

Oh, and
Quote:

As Ed Morrissey points out, this does not mean that Bowles prefers the Ryan plan over the Simpson-Bowles recommendations, and it doesn’t mean that Bowles likes all of the Ryan plan. http://www.chequerboard.org/2012/08/erskine-bowles-on-the-ryan-plan/ should not come away with the impression that Bowles supports the Ryan budget. However, it’s clear that Bowles has a great deal more respect for Ryan’s efforts than he does for Barack Obama’s. http://hotair.com/archives/2012/08/13/video-erskine-bowles-says-ryan-b
udget-sensible-honest-serious/
is hardly advocating for the Ryan budget here. http://www.commentarymagazine.com/2012/08/13/erskine-bowles-is-a-paul-

So: Desperate for credibility, are we?

Niki, I DO hate everything about the Left, but that's not the issue.

A different plan? Sure, what ever. That'd be 2 plans better than Obama's.

BTW...where IS Obama's plan, hmm?

Mark, I only do it to clarify for any who might not yet be educated on the issue at hand, as I've said before. I TRY to do it once, then not engage further. It is a constant battle, to not be triggered by his outlandish comments and lies into engaging him, but I work at it. Other than that, I mock him, no more. (P.S. yer still cute as hell)

Ahhh, the old "where's Obama's plan?" How many times have we heard that one? "What Mike and Nick said", period. He'll keep it up, tho', you can count on that.

And ahh, the old Bikini Graph. Sadly, don't think it looks quite that clean anymore because, as has been noted, there's only so much you CAN do when trying to govern past the Party of No. But the point remains valid.

According to the Romney campaign, that's what the Ryan plan is. They say they DO have a plan, but no details, but lots and lots and lots of stuff that will be done on "day one"...

In other words, nothing but fluff and political rhetoric.

Classic.

You still haven't figured out that the ONLY thing you're good for, here or anywhere else in this life, is ridicule. You're an ass, and as such, you are the butt of the joke. We're clowning on you. You've shown repeatedly that you have zero interest in a real debate or a fact-based discussion.

Twice in as many days, I've posted solid, verifiable FACTS, and you've responded by claiming that they're lies.

So the only purpose you'll ever serve here is as a laughing stock, a target for ridicule and derision. You chose it. You live it.

Now why don't you go have a good cry about it...

Me proving you wrong and you not liking it, as much as you may WANT to think it, doesn't make me a laughing stock or object of ridicule.

It's nothing more than childish deflection on your part, because you know, deep down, you really have nothing to stand on, other than denial and embarrassment at being so wrong, time after time after time.

The fact of the matter is, indeed, that you DID start it. You can't honestly deny that, so you instead resort to deflection, distraction and mocking, as your means of coping with being so utterly and completely wrong.

Fascinating! I'll bet there's a psychologist somewhere who would get a real kick out of that. Damned if I'll read it all, but what I did read...fascinating!

My first thought was envy...you guys existed for a time WITHOUT Rap goading, snarking, threadjacking everything? Wow, wish I'd been here. I came in July of that year, missed it all by "just that much".

Jong apparently first posted some lengthy screed, which Mike then dissected--after which Jong changed his initial post to merely "Auraptor is 100% correct." And yes, that's the Jong I've come to know now, not the one I knew for a while there and respected so highly.

Six, on the other hand, has undergone some changes! He posted then, of Mike "I think he's a bit partisan, but to say he's the most partisan would be a far stretch, I think." !!!!

Just skimming here, but saw some noteworthy stuff.

Frem: "What I always took issue with was hiding intolerance, racism, bitter nationalism and various forms of downright needless, reckless hate, behind a phony mask of reason and logic, something that never holds up when the issue actually gets discussed, as one might notice."

Beautiful. Of course he followed it with "As for Rappy takin his marbles and goin home, in order to do that, first he'd have to FIND all his marbles.... Just sayin", but given I agree (especially today...!)

The most amazing statement of all, given what he posts and HOW he posts, must come from Rap: "Which kinda sucks, because I had hoped to engage in some mature, lively and civil discussions over real world matters."

I'm not willing to take the time to read more, because even from the little I read it's obvious you're right, Mark...nothing's changed. Except Rap hasn't run away again...sigh...

But thank you Mike; I appreciate being reminded that I really need to stop making such an effort to actually respond to Rap with facts and figures, those are moments I'll never get again. And thank you Mark, for showing me that things were just as bad before I came as they are now, and no doubt always will be...
