... if you naturally speak a different language.

The fact that a bunch of assholes want to barge in and not learn the language is none of my concern. I've never been as rich OR as poor as I find myself right now. Dealing with the day-to-day insanity of my REAL life, I don't have a ton of time outside of drinking here to contemplate anything other than how to squeeze blood out of stones.

If my niece isn't raised at least bi-lingual English/Spanish than I have nobody to blame other than myself.

Shit is what it is. Even if she decided college wasn't for her, she'd never have a problem finding at least a livable wage of a bilingual manager.

My grandfather always had a trucking job even though his friends Union jobs were sent to Mexico in the 70's. My salary was sent to India to furnish no less than 8 very talented Indian men and women with their newfound middle-class lives.

How can I hate the illegals all that much in my position?

After taxes, I made 9,600k and some change and still managed to pay all of my bills with zero debt. This fact is compounded on 1.4k of post-tax income tax payments, $700 in homeowners insurance, $300 in car insurance and monthly bills.

EVEN AFTER SUCCESSFULLY CUTTING MY PROPERTY TAX IN HALF, I PAY MORE THAN 1/4 OF MY PATHETIC YEARLY SALARY TO PROPERTY TAXES AND INSURANCE FOR A CAR AND HOME I OWN 100%!!!!

That is why 1/7 of Americans were on foodstamps 5 years ago.

If you were friends with me, I'm pretty much the last person you would ever expect to be on them.

I'm just getting my BS taxes I pay back in my pocket, bro. Seriously... I've done the math 10 different ways. In the end I'm still paying.... but just BARELY.

I guess I'll have to begrudgingly pay them when I'm making more than 18k a year, but for now, I'll take my 2k you stole from me Uncle Sam and buy food with it.

Between the $500 turn-around in my taxes this year, working more hours for gonads, and just being totally awesome all around, I'm looking at a surplus of around 1,700 by the end of April!

Assuming nothing important breaks from now till then, I plan on installing gutters and baking up the sump with a battery and a 2nd well. If I were rich, I'd already have a Generac to switch to natural gas in bad times automatically.

Don't feel bad for pre-judging me. I live in a house that is currently 30 degrees cooler outside of the very small smoking room I put a computer in.

My gas and electric bill last month combined were under 170 bucks.

It's days like that when you can start to forget how miserable the beginning of 2014 was.

Even at less than Illinois minimum wage, I feel that a surplus of 2.5k isn't unattainable.

This life isn't for everyone. My "clothing" expenditures last year were less than $80 bucks, mostly at Goodwill. (You'd be amazing at the Hoodies you can luck into for $2.50 if you check back regularly) $60 of that was paying rediculous "sale" prices on underwear and socks at Kohls, because even I will tell you that used drawers and socks are over the line, freak :(.

Seriously...

Don't touch me....

Don't ask any questions....

Just be a good boy and/or girl and keep charging your card :)

BTW....

Heard that song a lot at work recently. Just looked it up tonight.

One of my favorite songs and the video is really low budget but has all the basic things that money can't buy.

Well done Pentatonics and Lindsey.

One of my immediate favorites. Even next year when you're not my favorite song, you'll always have a high priority on my iPod knock-off :)

Honestly, I can't even imagine how a woman would even begin to attempt to crack the 3foot icicle built around my heart, even when it's 98 degrees in my un-air-conditioined house....

Sex is easy, and you only need one.

This song is magic.

I'm just hearing it for the first time.

Put on your headphones, crank them up to the max and click on the link.

You'll thank me :)

EDITED TO ADD:

Lindsay Sterling...

Awesome :)

Glad at least one other person enjoys the same artist(s) that I do.

Love three of the Pentatonix' songs (Daft Punk, Radioactive, Carol of the Bells)
PLAYLIST

In fact, it was Carol of the Bells that I found first, looking for Xmas music. So impressed I went and looked for more. After that I found Lindsay Sterling in Radioactive, and looked her up too.

BUT, yanno.... you keep blaming Uncle Sam when the real origin of your problems is corporate boards screwing everyone down to the lowest possible wage... and then even lower. And then you get to pay a crapload for stuff that is cheaper almost everywhere else in the developed world - health care, internet access. Heck, we're behind Solvnia for crissake!

Free trade, corporatism: fucking scams, seriously.

So, about that neutral internet! Well, you can say goodbye to that, and hello to even HIGHER prices for even SLOWER access! Comcast just jerked higher prices out of Netflix, ensuring a multi-tiered "pay to play" system. We can look forward to FFF.net downloading at dial-up speeds. Yipee!

Oh, just one more thing: No way is she playing a violin in the rain. It wouldn't play, and the violin would be ruined. My bet is that she recorded in-studio, and made the video with a junk violin.

Same with Radioactive. Still- nice videos.

Generally speaking, with the exception of concert videos - no music video uses audio from the set. Its always pre-recorded.

I'm f-ing loving this thread. :)

Keep the lyrical love flowing y'all!

If that link doesn't work, make it work.

IN the mean time, since winter is going to last at least another two weeks, no harm in throwing this in there too...

Every snowy day after Christmas sucks....

After New Years we don't hear any more Christmas songs at stores even though they started playing them the day after Halloween this year....

We've only got about 2 more weeks of this BS and it's bound to clear up. Why not listen to Christmas music?

Just think about the times where it's warm enough for summer concerts.

Those times will come and go quicker than you could wish these cold days away.

Even though Vitamin C was my bro's age and totally hot, her version isn't as good as that last one...

I know that all depends on who your asking though.

I know a few 30 somethings who probably put that on a pedastal like I do Yellow Ledbetter.

Beautiful song anyhow.

Ever wonder how many of the songs we love are based solidly around Cannon?

I've never known anybody who read Sun Tzu, myself included, although I tried. Maybe I could have finished it if I was locked up and had absolutely nothing better to do.

I guaranty that he read it after he was an Extra on Acroyd-Chase's Nothing But Trouble.

Boiled down to its essence, I Ain't Mad at 'Cha is one of the most beautiful songs of a generation.

Here it is for the old white people. Rap and Lyric free ;)

Enjoy!

Need something to bring this party on it's feet!

BIIM, circa 1992!

In the last 23 years, I've had about 20 awesome moments.

This song could take the place of the moments that should have happened those stray 3 years ;)

If you can't jam to this, Clint Eastwood would tell you to just loosen up.

I posted about this song when i found out it was a MIDI from a great PC Tetris classic game.

There is no way that Crystalize isn't at least a morph of Mepheria from Gemstorm...

Mepheria is a beautiful, but very demanding song. Lindsey is up for the challenge, but she'll do it on her time.

In the new perfect world, nobody will have deadlines. They'll just feel so guilty they might hang themselves if they don't meet an agreed upon deadline.

Such is progress.....

I'm just following you all.

The only reason I find it scary now is that I stepped outside of it for a while. Maybe I shouldn't have. Ignorance is Bliss.

Tell me that this song isn't what Miss Lindsey Stirling was playing so much more beautifully on her fiddle/violin :)

Haha...

And I don't need to be reminded about how nothing I see in any video I post is real. I know that.

I'm so glad I have pretty much memorized every nuance of every song I've ever loved. I might never know how to play the instruments, or have been blessed with such a voice, but I'll be happy to show this great music to people if things really go south.

Hopefully, I'll never be needed.

The Postman, even with it's 3+ hours, is one of my favorite movies.

That Guy owned That Mountain Town. It was so high up that nobody bothered to try to burglarize them because it wasn't worth hauling the junk down all those man-made stairs.

"Weren't you famous?"

"Maybe in another life...."

"CREDITS: Tom Petty as Himself"

I hate using the word ironically, so I'll just say that at the same time, even though half of my all time favorite karaoke classics are Petty, there's no way you couldn't tell I wasn't Bruno Marx singing to you with your eyes closed :)

EDITED TO ADD: Come and Get Your Love is awesome, no matter who is singing it. Thanks Redbone :)

Hey everyone. I'm sad to see nobody posting here. :(

This is a politics free zone :)

Don't be afraid if I post like 5 things in a row. Sometimes it takes a long time before somebody else posts here these days and I'm just in different stages of loving music and/or a beer or two more into it.

There is no right or wrong in music.

Since Nelly (F) did Turn on the Light, i've always loved her.

This song has always been so "familar" that I swore it was a cover, but I never found any evidence that it was. (If anybody can tell me what song I remember from the early 80's that's emulated here, I'd appreciate it :))

Aside from her "Maneater" video, which is pretty damn awesome, I've never been sexually attracted to Nelly for her physical apperiance. Her music and voice are so sensual that they befuddle the senses.

She's simply got the Midas voice. I don't know how you can listen to her music at any age and not love it.

Here's the Maneater video.....

As much as I love Hall and Oates, they can't compete with Nelly :)

I love Mr. Mr.'s orignial song. It was on of the first 5 songs I ever heard on the radio somewhere after Hard for me to say I'm sorry and Hungry Like the Wolf.
