In the face of "evil" conservatives like Dick Cheney calling themselves, or being labeled as, neoconservatives, I coin the term, archaeoconservative. Archaeo - ancient. Conservative - Favoring traditional views and values; moderate, cautious. Archaeoconservative - a conservative tending towards older standards and ideals of conservativism. That seems to describe me and my almost anachronistic adherence and reverence of traditions and rituals.

Ooh, I like it. I'm generally pretty liberal, but I still feel that "neoconservatism" is giving old style conservatism a bad name. What's more, I've always loved the term "archaeo".

We could even coin terms for different categories of archaeoconservatives.

Protoconservatives-- the first group of stone age individuals in favor of smaller tribal goverment and lithic responsibility (i.e. a balanced stone budget).

Eoconservatives--the "dawn" conservatives of the agricultural revolution and the rise of city states and early empires.

Mesoconservatives--"Middle" conservatives from the middle ages to the enlightenment

Or perhaps I have gotten carried away?

See, here is an example of conservatives and liberals getting along. there's good and bad in both. It's important to recognize and understand the good in both, and then compromise for the greatest good.

TheGreyJedi, you should create an article on Wikipedia about "Archaeoconservative." Just make sure to give a fairly detailed description of what an Archaeoconservative is.

The real kicker to me is that neoliberalism and neoconservatism are interchangeable.

Um, I'm lost. Uh, I'm Angry. And I'm Armed.
