REAL WORLD EVENT DISCUSSIONS
2 NYC cops assassinated in retribution for Brown and Garner deaths.

America loves a winner!
Quote: I walked every block of the million march in NYC a week ago Saturday, and not at any point did anyone chant a thing about dead cops. Police were present throughout, and although they occasionally got lectured, there was no kind of suggestion of violence toward them. ... What a surprise, that our resident RWA troll quotes faux news rather than getting out there and experiencing reality.

Quote: It remains unclear whether the two incidents were connected, but the increase in violence at some New York protests is casting new light on a group known as the Trayvon Martin Organizing Committee, or TMOC, the New York City chapter of which may be the source of the "dead cop" chant, reports The Daily Beast. Although there is no "definitive proof" TMOC was behind those marchers, its "own social-media posts put them near the scene of the cry for police blood." And "recently TMOC has been soliciting money for the legal defense of people it calls its 'comrades' who were arrested for allegedly assaulting police officers on the Brooklyn Bridge, just hours after the 'dead cops' chant was recorded," writes Jacob Siegel of The Daily Beast. The day before the nationwide Millions March rally on Dec. 13 — during which the "dead cop" chant was used — TMOC began organizing a sub-protest involving radicalized forces via social media, according to Ashoka Jegroo, a freelance reporter and graduate of the City University of New York’s journalism school. http://www.Newsmax.com/Headline/trayvon-martin-police-killings-new-york/2014/12/23/id/614645/#ixzz3MkkgRPQA

Quote: CNN Correspondent Sara Ganim reported that a small group of protesters were yelling at police officers who had gathered to pay their respects at a memorial to slain NYPD officers Wenjian Liu and Rafael Ramos on Monday. While Ganim said that most of the people who had showed up were paying their respects to the officers, she added “I do, just in full disclosure, want to say that in the last couple of minutes, for the first time today, we’ve seen protesters come out here and start yelling at groups of police who are mourning their slain police officers.” Ganim continued “it’s just a few of them, Suzanne, and like I said, just in the last five minutes, and they’re quite frankly yelling at a group of police officers who are standing here silently, just looking at the memorial of candles and flowers and posters, and they’re yelling similar rhetoric that we’ve been hearing over the last couple of weeks related to the shooting of — the chokehold death of Eric Garner and the shooting of Michael Brown in Missouri.” She also reported that people she had talked to earlier believed that while conversations on police brutality needed to take place, they shouldn’t happen right after the deaths of two officers and that criticizing Mayor Bill de Blasio (D) was going to make the divisions in the city worse. Quote:As thousands gathered in New York Saturday to remember a New York Police Department officer who was murdered execution-style with his partner on Dec. 20, police brutality protesters continued to rally in New York, Los Angeles and Chicago. Protesters who gathered at the NYPD's 75th precinct office to condemn the November shooting death of Akai Gurley, an unarmed black men who was killed by a rookie NYPD officer in a dark public housing stairwell, turned their backs on officers standing behind a metal barricade, symbolizing a lack of trust.

Quote:Cops anonymously told the New York Post that they aren't making arrests for minor crimes because they fear for their safety following the murders of two NYPD officers. "I’m not writing any summonses. Do you think I’m going to stand there so someone can shoot me or hit me in the head with an ax?” a cop, who was granted anonymity by the Post, said. "I’m concerned about my safety. I want to go to home to my wife and kids.” To back up these assertions, the Post reports in a separate story that arrests have nose-dived by 66 percent over the last week, fueled by huge drops in arrests for minor offenses. That percentage is based on a comparison between last week starting Dec. 22 and the same week in 2013. It's unclear if that comparison is valid or if low-level arrests have been down for much of the year. The Post doesn't say and the NYPD didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from The Huffington Post. But if the Post's numbers are to be believed, they represent a huge dip in arrests. Citations for traffic violations fell by 94 percent, from 10,069 to 587. Summonses for low-level offenses "like public drinking and urination" dropped by 94 percent as well, the Post reports.

I did not post the cites on purpose, because it's just that fun to see our resident troll lose his shit yet again. Jesus, what a loser. It never posted a source for its big fat lie of a video, yet it tries to climb on an ivory tower demanding cites to counter its un-supported BS. And it never addresses the fact that *It*Was*Not*There* and It does not know what those protests really in reality were like. It got its "truthy" news from...
