Was in BEST BUY today and saw several Box sets for sale today. The good thing was that there were FINALLY a few there for sale, but I was surprised at the price... $ 40.00 +!!! Are we to take this as a good sign?

I got mine for like 45 or so. That's about where it's been for a while.

MSRP is, and has always been, $49.98.

Prices are only likely to go above MSRP if there is a noticable lack of supply to meet demand AND stores still have stock when they notice this.

This rarely happens with mass-release DVD's [limited editions are different, especially limited editions that are actually limited :].

I think Best Buy's price has always been $45ish, except the first week it was out.

I may have had a brain freeze, but I swear when I got my copy, it was more in the $35-38 price range. Granted, it was Amazon.com, but still. I could have been just amazed that there were so many copies for sale and it temporarily threw me for a loop.

This might not be such an issue after all. As you were.

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

I've seen Firefly at Best Buy both in California and in Texas, and in both places the price was $40.99. Walmart has been selling it for $35.98 the few times I've seen it there. Amazon.com's price has been $34.99 for the entire time of its availability.

Wow! When I bought mine, it was $32. I had already read the transcripts online for the episodes that aired, but I needed more so I bought the set.

I'm going to convert my mom, brother, sister and brother-in-law next month....wish me luck!

I once worked as a cashier for Target, and they had that movie playing up at the front ALL DAY for a couple of weeks there. You want to see some suicidal/ homicidal cashiers?

May have been the losing side. Still not convinced it was the wrong one.

Prices here in Virginia ranged from $34.99 to $42.99. Most places now are selling it for $49.99.

I hate you all. In Canada it's near $69-something, which is why I don't have it. Or that many other DVDs.

For one brief but memorable period last month, amazon.co.uk were selling the DVD set at £16.97. Otherwise it tends to be between £25 and £30, online.
