Anyone know if there is a Firefly/Serenity 2006 Calendar for sale anywhere?

I haven't seen anything, but I wish they would. I don't use paper calanders much, but I'd get one if it featured Serenity/Firefly.

I'd love one too! Someone makes one, let us all know. I'll buy several. Love to have one to put up in my office ( good advertising for my favorite show and movie!) and the area where folks wait!

Heck, I think they'd make nice gifts too, to go along with the Serenity DVD's I'm givin' away.

Calenders would be awesome. Three different ones in fact would be great.

The first one would be a sort of "overall" kind of calender, with some months dedicated to group shots, other months dedicated to shots of the ship, etc...

Then the other two would be gender specific: cheesecake calenders! One of nobody but the girls for the guys, and the other one of nobody but the guys for the ladies.

I know I for one would KILL to have some sexy bikini shots, some daisy dukes kind of pics, or just some tastey glamour shots of Jewel Staite, Summer Glau, and Morenna Baccarin to hang on the wall. And I'd imagine some of you ladies liking the idea of having a shirtless and posed Nathan Fillion, Sean Maher, and Adam Baldwin to hang up too.

don't forget Alan, not conventionally pretty but a great hunk of lovliness nonetheless.

But to be honest, shirtless wouldn't be good, I'd need to put it up in public (I mainly use calendars so people can write on them and tell me where to be and when) and shirtless would probably give people palpitations (not the good sort) But twelve whole months of our BDH's looking all mouth wateringly scrummy?

bring it on!

if someone does find one, yell!

Oh baby, I'd go for that. I really enjoyed Nathan when he was on "Two Guys and a Girl" (or what ever the hell that show was, anyway I loved it). And of course "Jayne" and "Simon" are hunks as well, so I say BRING ON THE CALENDAR. Make 2006 a Firefly year!

There's no place I can be since I found Serenity.

Anybody with a cafepress site have an interest in this at all? I'd buy several for sure.

A calendar of all 3 of the guys would be the best yet. Shirtless or shirt on they are all mighty fine.

Ha. I made my own Serenity-themed calendar for 2006, focusing on a single character for each month, (even the Reavers!), and including a quote for each from the movie. It's not beautiful, but it's mine. It's a better version of the homemade Firefly calendar I made for 2005 that was based on the series, so I guess progress is good.

See...I'd run into the same kinds of set-backs if I tried to hang one up of the girls looking all mouth-watering hot, that's why the "mainstream" calender would be made. That's the one that gets hung up for the general populace to see...the cheesecake kind would be for private viewing...unless you work in a garage, in which case it'd be acceptable and even expected to see the lovely Firefly girls dressed down.

Sorry for forgetting about Alan Tudyk...I don't quite understand who or what you ladies find appealing, I just figured that the three I mentioned were givens. Heck, there's probably some girls here that get all weak at the knees over Ron Glass...so I'll apologize for not mentioning him as well.

Wish I had the resources for a project like this...seems like money in the bag, just waiting to be made! I don't understand why somebody who calls shots like this hasn't come up with it.

Who am I kidding though? If I got to be in the same room with the Firefly girls it'd be an overload to the senses. Being in the same room with them dressed down...well, somebody stand by the phone and dial 9-1-, wait for my heart to completely give out, then press the final -1.

I just started working for Calendar Club a couple weeks ago, in their warehouse. It's a seasonal job 'til I find something more... permanent. Anyway, I mention this because I've looked, and we don't have a Firefly or Serenity calendar. Yet. We DO have Buffy and Spike calendars, though, and even Buffy mini-calendars and day-planners!

I don't have any kind of pull with the company or anything, but if I can find a way to make the suggestion, I definitely will mention a Firefly/Serenity calendar. If they were to do it, it would be all "legal" and licensed and such, and the quality's good.

Funny... I'm helping them pull and send out over 7,000 orders PER DAY (and that's just for their e-commerce site, calendars.com), yet I do not yet own a 2006 calendar... My boss says that's not unusual - January 2 is traditionally their busiest day of the year, when everyone wakes up recovered from the New Year's festivities and realizes they don't have a calendar for the new year!

Anyway, here's hoping there's an official Firefly calendar in our future - but likely not this year. :( Guess I'll have to pick up a Buffy to make do with.

Mike

Grrrrr. Arrrgghh.

My calendar runs like this:

Jan - Mal "So no more running. I aim to misbehave."

Feb - Book "I don't care what you believe! Just...believe it."

March - Jayne "Boy, sure would be nice if we had some grenades, don'tchya think?"

April - Mr. Universe "They can't stop the signal, Mal. They can never stop the signal."

May - Inara "I never thought for a second you'd be stupid enough to come!"

June - The Operative "What I do is evil. I've no allusions about that. But it must be done."

July - River "Make them stop, they're everywhere, every city every house every room, they're all inside me, I can hear them all and they're saying nothing!"

Aug - Simon "I never planned...anything. I just wanted to keep River safe."

Sept (my birthday!) - Kaylee "Forget this! I'm gonna live!"

Oct - Reavers (duh) "Eating people alive? Where does that get fun?"

Nov - Zoe "She's tore up plenty. But she'll fly true."

Dec - Wash (the obvious) "I am a leaf on the wind. Watch how I soar."

In response to the last post...I think Wash should be in November or October if you have that quote...the whole leaf on the wind thing...Just an opinion...and as for the picture it should be him piloting the ship in one part of the picture and a dissolve type effect of the outside of the ship looking like its crashing...

Kinkos used to be able to make calendars with photos brought in by customers. Haven't looked lately, but I assume they still do.

Also, Olympus's Camedia software (comes with their digital cameras) makes dandy calendars.

You can make a calendar yourself, and get it just the way you like it.

Well, DANIELFRYE, I appreciate the suggestion, but the calendar is already finished. And as for the pictures, there are a bunch of pictures for each character, not just one or two. There's probably about 9 for each one. I picked December for Wash because it's the last month of the year...it has a finality to it.
