that would be once, and shindig. Pretty dress too. :)

In that there same movie, how much force is needed for mal to cut someone with a sword?

If you play Nationstates.net check out the region Firefly.

The only official source I've been able to find regarding Shadow's destruction is in Joss' Memo "A Brief History of the Universe, circa 2507 A.D." found in the Visual Companion. In it he says that five years into the war, Mal's homeplanet was "destroyed."

My question: On what day of the week did the trade station heist on Lilac (in the BDM) take place?

We see Kaylee in a dress twice! Once in Shindig, and once in the flashback introducing her in Out of Gas.

It takes only a pound of pressure to pierce human skin, according to Inara.

Excellent question about Kaylee calling the captain by name. I'm stumped.

Here's one: Give all 9 characters' full names, to the best of our current knowledge.

Malcolm Reynolds, Jayne Cobb, Simon Tam, River Tam, Inara Serra, Kaywinnit Lee Fry(e), Hoban Washburn, Merriah Book. I've seen Zoe Warren but I guess it could be Zoe Washburn because of the whole married thing.

Someone asked earlier what he was fiddling with when he's first introduced. The accepted answer was an apple peeler, which would also fit your question of what appliance. Of course, I hold that another answer for the original of what was Badger fiddling with would be a young woman's mouth. He was checking her teeth.

What was the final line of the series?

To answer my own question a few posts above, we actually see Kaylee in a dress a total of 3 times. Shindig, the flashback in OoG and the start of The Message, in which she's actually wearing the same dress from OoG.

Kaylee calls the captain Mal? I don't ever remember that happening, but I don't doubt that it did. So alas I must the entire series again, probably tonight

To post a new question: How many times (not including the BDM) has Simon been hit or injured?

I'll take a stab.

Mal hits him in Serenity (the pilot)

He's manhandled pretty good while being kidnapped in Safe. DOn't know if I'd call that really hurt though.

Jayne's x-partner beats him up in Jaynestown.

Early shoots him in OiS.

That's 4 times.

That's all I can remember, but it dosen't seem like enough, so it's likely I'm forgetting something.

In case I'm right. . .
What was jayne's x-partner's name from Jaynestown.(the guy that beat Simon up)

cows, in 'safe.'

the answer to my earlier trivia question, which no one got, is pilot episode, when kaylee first introduces simon to the captain. it is the only instance in the series or film in which kaylee calls him 'mal.'

Thanks for clearing that up with Kaylee calling Mal by name... I was thinking it was more "significant" than that, but glad to have it settled.

Also, Book's first name, as given in writing in the BDM, is Beria, not Merriah. I've seen the latter in a number of other places, but the former seems to be canon.

Vera is a Callahan full-bore auto-lock something something with a customized trigger and something.

That's all I got.

I think Kaylee would call Mal by his name when she meets him in the pilot. A friends borowing my DVD's so I can't go look or anything, but I'm pretty sure its true. After all, she would be intruduced.

If I remember correctly.

*Who is this?* Mal.
*says who Kaylee is*

And then I would think that Kaylee would refer to Mal by his name, cause she's not crew.

If I'm right.....

Don't know if it's what you're after, but some of the canned announcements aboard Serenity were in Cantonese. I'm referring to the warnings about the oxygen levels in OoG. This was, however, something of a continuity error; all the Chinese in Firefly was supposed to be Mandarin.

Ironically, according to an article I recently read, Cantonese is becoming a dying tongue. It was once common in American Chinatowns because many early Chinese immigrants spoke it, but today it's being replaced by Mandarin. In China itself, Mandarin is the official language and is the only one taught in schools.

Zoe kills, I believe, two scouts.

For the girls in Shindig, I always heard Banny (Fanny?) Miller, Destra, something starting with a C (Cavet?), and Zo or Zell. I'm sure a script could clear this up. I love that guy, though.

I am almost certain that Book's first name is Beria... I'll check tonight when I'm home. Damn, now I'm plagued with self-doubt!

Now, then. Name 6 habitable planets/moons that are mentioned in Firefly but are never visited in the series or the movie (i.e., Beaumonde doesn't count). For extra credit, name more (I can think of 7 offhand).
