Just a reminder fellow browncoats, Nathan Fillion will be on "LOST" tonight. You can bet Jaynes rainstick that the whole crew of Serenity will be on the cortex watching. The "Hands of Blue" guys and the "Blue Sun" ppl will be watching also. Lets boost the "LOST" numbers by tens of thousands.

PS: is it just me or did I see Locke running around with a "Blue Sun" headband on?

Ok I've never seen Lost. So I'm confused. I thought they were stranded on an island....so how would new people join?? Is there some Bermuda Triangle-esque thing where lots of ships get trapped? Can someone please tell me the basic plot and such so I won't be totally confused when I watch it??

Along with the people who crashed on the island there is a group known as the "others" but we have seen all of them already, I'm guessing. More than likely Nathan will be a character in a backstory for one of the main characters.

Ok so it's basically a serious Gilligan's Island then?

STOWEAWAY

If I remember correctly, Nathan will be in a flashback series about Kate's husband(?) or someone she nearly married.
I very literally could help push the Lost viewing numbers up if not for poor timing. We are scheduled to be a Nielsen family for a week.......but not until next week. Gorramit!
I will definitely be tuning in (or recording) Alan Tudyk's appearance on CSI even though I don't usually watch it.

In my opinion, Lost is one of the best television series to come along since Firefly. The other is Veronica Mars, and my favorite is whichever I happen to be watching at the time. I've watched each episode several times, never miss it, have the dvds, etc. It is a lot more than just a serious Gilligan's Island. There are so many plots and subplots going on, with a wide variety of characters, it has kept my interest all this time, although I can understand why some viewers have become disappointed with it.

It seems Nathan will be involved in one of Kate's flashbacks tonight, and the episode title is "I Do." From the I Never drinking game that Kate and Sawyer played in the first season we know she was married at least once. If us guys have to be jealous of the guy who was lucky enough (or unlucky, take your pick) to be married to Kate, then it might as well be someone as cool as Captain Tightpants.

Yay! I'm gonna be watching!
I've only ever watched a few episodes of Lost, because it does get very confusing with all the backstories and the craziness with people dying and stuff, but it is a pretty good show, and sorta popular right now too, so it's a good way for Nathan to get some publicity!

There were about 50 survivors of the plane crash, and the story has only introduced maybe 15 or 20, so far. So, it's possible to bring in new characters when needed. Good planning by the writers!

I have always loved Lost. It's one of the best shows on TV, or that has been on TV, IMHO. Right behind Firelfy and BSG. I didn't know Nathan was going to be on tonights episode. Maybe he develop into recurring role, like Desmond did.

As far as I'm aware, Nathan will appear in several episodes. Not all at once though.

I credit Lost with the best pilot episode of anything I have ever seen... ever. Yes, I even think it beats the Firefly pilot! I love Firefly more, but the Lost pilot episode is perfect start to finish. If anyone out there hasn't seen it - you really, really, really should. You won't regret it.

Hiya MSG

If you get a chance to see this post before tonight I will attempt to explain a little about the LOST story without spoiling anything for you and others that may have not seen much or any of the show ( as AsortaFairyTale ).There are already 2 seasons out on dvd and I for one will say that if you get the chance ( maybe you have a friend that has the dvds) try to see the the first seasons after tonight. The show is well worth watching.

Now the story goes something like this, after an incident involving a plane a group of around 42 ppl find themselves on a lonely island in the middle of no and where. It's funny that you have brought up the Bermuda Triangle because there is lots of strangness and these ppl have more to worry about that just finding food to eat. Anyhoo, much of the characters time is spent in thinking and we see this brought to us in flashbacks. This is where Nathan's character may come into play. It can get a little confusing but at the end of the eps I'll bet you will be able to tell the guys wearing the white hats from the evil Blue-Sun like ppl (insert responsive boos and hisses). Enjoy the show. It'll be great to see captain Reynolds back on the tube.

See ya,Z

Asking for somebody to explain Lost to you is like asking somebody to explain 'The Prisoner' or 'The X-Files', or something that absolutely makes no sense even to the people who watch it. So, yeah, you'd have to get the box sets and start from scratch to really get going. I missed the first season, and even though I watched a recap and everything, and haven't missed an episode since, there are still times I'm a little lost.

The guy playing the policeman needs his own show. Set in some part of the world where it's very warm most of the time.

"The Adventures of Officer Kevin" - has a nice ring to it.

But this one was good!
And there was so much Nathan!! He was great. He seems to really fill those police officer/space captain roles well. :)

Hear, hear. Whenever I see one of our BDH's guesting, I rate them by how much they make me forget about their famous roles. I prefer them going against the grain. So while Sean had more of an actual part in GHOST WHISPERER, I liked him in CSI: MIAMI for essentially playing the anti-Simon.

But my high water mark for BDH's guesting on other shows is Gina Torres in season 3 of 24 as Julia Miliken. Talk about a complete 180. Going from the toughest gal on the ship to a complete coward is pretty frackin amazing.

As for Nate on LOST, I liked the first scene where he's in the hotel hallway. And the way he says "You wanna do it?" was just perfect. But after that, he just seemed to be there as someone for Kate to react to. Didn't really seem like an actual character.

Mind you, if he is going to be in future episodes in Feb, then I'm willing to give it a pass. I didn't even notice that the drugged lemonade is a refrence to "Our Mrs. Reynolds".

**************************************************
"We have five million Cybermen. How many are you?"
"Four"
You would destroy the Cybermen with four Daleks?"
"We would destroy the Cybermen with ONE Dalek. You are superior in only one respect."
"What is that?"
"You are better at dying."

Trash talk between a Cyberman and a Dalek. It doesn't get any better than that.

Goodmorning fellow browncoats

Well we watched the session ender of LOST last night and IMO it was very, very good. I do remember when the show first aired and we had a chance to start watching it then. I chose not to because it was just one among many new programs at the time and I usually am not sure about anything new making the cut. I had lots of stuff on my plate at that time and also work a rotating shift so why should I get involved in a new show I would not be able to watch half the time. This is how I view many new tv programs ( it was the same with Firefly) I don't feel that I am alone. Anyway "LOST" was lucky enough to have started it's tv life on ABC. It was given a greenlight for a second season and now it's on it's third. I want to thank ABC here for giving it room to find an audience and letting the creative team do their work. I feel if Firefly had been given the same chance it would be there right with LOST in the ratings and more that likely by now have an even bigger audience. We all know that this didn't happen. The BUZZ around the coffee pot in the break-room this morning is about LOST and not FIREFLY. It makes me feel sad. Not that I don't enjoy LOST I do. But I could also be discussing FF with my fellow co-workers as well. LOST is taking a break and will return in Febuary with 16 new eps. This is very smart. ABC is giving people that haven't seen the show from the begining a chance to catch the first two seasons and really get into it, a show that has all kinds of twists and turns and ????? about what will happen on that small island. ABC,my hats off to ya and I will drink a round of mudders milk for your ability to sit back and let a great show move forward.

Now some words on last nights eps of LOST. I knew that it would be good when within the first 40 seconds my wife looks at me and says " That's Nathan knocking on the door!" I just smiled. He does have an odd ability of hooking up with women that at some time will be standing over him as he lay senseless on the floor. When Kate handed him that glass of bug-juice I wanted him to look up and say "Mmmmmm... good cider. But I've got to go. I've got captainy things to do." Anyhoo I think that captain Reynolds did a very good job with his character last night on LOST and I hope to see more Kate flashbacks with him in them. LOST always ends in a cliff-hanger and so was the case in this eps. I'll be ready for it's return in Febuary and again want to thank ABC and the LOST creative team for casting Serenity's captain on their show. Browncoats we're still fiying.

America loves a winner!

Great episode! Too damn funny that, once again, he married a woman who ends up drugging him. ( At least this was a proper weddin'! ) I know it's unlikely, but there was a brief momment where I wondered if she had killed our Captn', instead of merely knocking him out. If she's on the run, then the last thing she'd want is murder on her head, so that's kinda unlikely.

Kate needs her own 'YoSaffBridge' name. I'm not such a LOST fan that I recall all her names. I think she was called something else in the bank job she did, but I'm not sure.

Kate sure does get around a lot.

People love a happy ending. So every episode, I will explain once again that I don't like people. And then Mal will shoot someone. Someone we like. And their puppy. - Joss

SPOILER:

That would come with the territory considering she blew up her dad.

LOST is definitely by far my favorite show on rite now. I haven't missed an episode yet. It was totally off the hook last night. Powerful ending, just stinks to have to wait 3 months for some new episodes. I thought Nathan mixed well in with the cast, and actually got more screen time then I originally anticipated. It was definitely the best episode so far this season ....
